As expected, PB Djarum sends ALL its MD/BD U-19 players to the home tourney.
Main Draw
Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki/Hendra A. Gunawan - new partnership for both AG and Yoke
Rian Sukmawan/Rendra Wijaya - last spot in the Main Draw (phew)
Qualifying Draw - 6 out of the 16 pairs are from PB Djarum, 3 from Pelatnas, 4 from MAS (including Robert Blair), 1 each from PHI, DEN, and THA
Praveen Jordan/Didit Juang Indrianto
Dandi Prabudita/Wifqi Windarto
Rangga Yave Rianto/Seiko Wahyu Kusdianto
Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Rafiddias Akhdan Nugroho
Edi Subaktiar/Arya Maulana Aldiartama
Felix Kinalsal/Kevin Ersa
Reserves - all except Ade Yusuf Santoso/Wahyu Nayaka A.P. are PB Djarum's pairs, so, any withdrawals will result in them being promoted to the Qualifying Draw.
For WD - all eyes are on Melati Daeva Oktavani/Rosyita Eka Putri Sari, who are in the 2nd position in the Qualifying Draw. 2 withdrawals will see them being promoted to the Main Draw. Even if there's no withdrawals, I believe they could qualify to the Main Draw as all except 1 pair are INA pairs.
XD - needless to say, all eyes are on Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir, who will be scheduled to face BOTH CHN pairs in the SF and F. This will also be the last real warm-up tourney before the London Olympics. The following draw will be indeed very challenging for them:
R32 - any of the lower ranked CHN or KOR pair
R16 - Chris Adcock/Imogen Bankier or Sudket/Saralee
QF - any of the seeded pairs will be a tough opponent, esp Thomas Laybourn/Kamilla Rytter-Juhl
SF - Xu Chen/Ma Jin
F - Zhang Nan/Zhao Yunlei
It will be a splendid achievement for Towi/Butet if they can win this INA SSP title.
Besides Towi/Butet, I will also be closely following Riky Widianto/Richi Dili Puspita and Alfian Eko Prasetya/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja (4th position in Qualifying Draw) as well as the prospective pairs for AJC/WJC:
Edi Subaktiar/Melati Daeva Oktaviani - 2nd position in Qualifying Draw.
