Feedback & Discussion on Chinese Shuttlecock Brands – Start Import/Export ?

Before I have tried Baton Master, Li g Mei 90 pro, yang yang 300b but all three are too expensive now. I have ordered a test tube of shaulang 1 76 and 77 speed and another one from Lydoo custom shuttles both from Alibaba. Also asked for rates for snowpeak, Baton, Wieyusi, lingmei and Linton, I wanted to test those be the shipping rates were too high to USA.

It depends on the type of Incoterm you use. If you take the DDP incoterm, the seller takes care of everything right up to delivery to your door. In this case, for small deliveries, shipping costs are quite high, especially as you're obliged to use air freight ~$3 usd per tube for Shuanglang so, for example, I ordered 4 tubes SL1/4/5/7 at 23.5/12/14/13 usd + $12 shipping => 75.5 usd. For larger orders and shipments by boat, we go down to ~$60 usd for 50 tubes (~0.83usd per tube). I still don't understand how they manage to integrate taxes such as VAT (20% in France), but the fact that everything is cleared through customs and in order without a hitch... You must have a vat number to be exempt from vat on purchase, otherwise you'll pay the 20% directly on alibaba.
How would you rate the Shuanglang shuttles? And how does it compare to Kunli?

Hi guys, I'm a Russian amateur player and now I became an expert in shuttles. I tried a lot and since well-known activity (called like Ukraine war) I started to find a way to have good shuttles for the reasonable price. So, we had to start own small business on it.
We started with Ling-mei, and it was very good for a price before that huge increase, now we also purchase from MAXX and already waiting for the first delivery of Shuanglang.
You can ask me about all the shuttles, I have a lot of pics showing the head structure and feather quality.
https://badm-shop.ru/crushtest - here we had a crushtest with some well-known shuttles (15 smash and 15 smash+defence, like we usually have during the game)
Test was performed by National players, so we excluded hit mistakes :-)
Hello, how would you rate the Shuanglang against the Ling-mei? For example would you say Ling-mei 20 is already better than Shuanglang-03? Could you give some reference?

I only ordered shuanglang 1 and the one below that as people in Boston are very picky and only use best shuttles for high level play. Shuanglang 1 was best of all others I tested, had good durability. I ha e not tried kunli so can't compare. But I would say it would compare with silver or gold

I would say that the SL01 (the best one) can be compared to the Ling-Mei 70 or even 80 in terms of durability and flight.
My own current choice is SL07 (straightened goose feather) and ratio price/durabililty is the best for amateur play.
SL03 is like Lingmei 20
SL02-04-06 can be compared to duck Lingmei 50-40-30

But I would not recommend SL05 & SL06 because of hunchback feather cut - the flight is strange and sometimes unpredictable especially at net and drops, drives & smashes are OK. I can see the shuttle turn distance after the hit is longer than usual.

Hi xtnmsc,

Thanks for that detailed comparison, it's very helpful!

Have you had the chance to test the Kunli shuttles as well? I'm curious, what model from Kunli or any other brand would you consider to be the closest equivalent to the Shuanglang SL07 in terms of performance and value?

Anyone tried Airchy shuttles?, I heard they are good. I am unable to find a supplier or OEM though

Since I ended up here as a lurker, it's now time to share my experience :-)

Situation: club in Belgium, level ranging from recreational to competitive players (but no top players).

We are in a club that provides shuttles for free play evenings. Prices continue to rise and our standard training shuttle is no longer available (Victor Pro Court Tournament).

So we looked for alternatives. I ordered the following shuttles on Alibaba (speed 77):

- Shuanglang 3 and 7
- Honkoo 4
- Tangsong 3
- DR-14
- Snowpeak 909 and 707

The Shuanglangs were too slow (and the 7 felt very cheap). Honkoo and Tangsong were more or less okay. We were pleasantly surprised by the Snowpeaks: the 707 in particular was a good shuttle for us.

We have now ordered 100 Snowpeak tubes. Price: $1,815 (including all costs), which came to €1,600.

From my experience anyball 444 is a great shuttle for the price, you can get 4 tubes on alibaba for ~50USD and are seemingly consistent, durability and flight wise

Do you have pics of the snow peaks? I’m interested in them, I see them a lot, thanks.

Damn, my club mates were quicker. All the shuttles had already been used up in previous game nights. I'll get the new shipment in 1 to 2 weeks, and I'll post a photo then.

I was wondering, how did you all manage to purchase shuttles directly from china? Are you using portals such as Alibaba? Also does those companies entertain low volume purchases? e.g. 10tubes.

I did indeed order everything through Alibaba. You can order samples from most companies (shipping costs are relatively high, but it's worth it to order larger batches later). Always ask via chat—they are all very responsive and helpful.

I believe some factories will for small orders but you end up paying more per tube as well as the high shipping costs. best bet is to order a tube or 2 to test out then do a bulk order.

As promised, an update :) Just received my order of 100 tubes (50 SP707, 50 SP909). Some pictures in attachment.
