    Hey guys,

Anyone have any tips for finding out about local tournaments to take part in?
I live near Liverpool in England and was hoping some of you guys would have some general tips about finding out about them :)

Apologies if this is the wrong section of the forum

    Many thanks
    Sam

The best address to find out about local tournaments is your local or national badminton federation. I'm not sure what the local/regional federation is (maybe this one?), but Badminton England has a tournaments page. If the level of play is too high for you, simply contact them (or better yet, your local/regional federation) and ask them for lower-level tournaments.

By simply googling badminton tournaments <your region/country>, you may also find privately organized tournaments. Here in Germany, there a numerous privately organized tournaments for lower-level players and 3,4 privately run websites that list all tournaments.

Another way is contacting the local clubs. Even if they don't organize the tournaments themselves, a lot of their players will play at local tournaments.

If all else fails, you can always organize your own tournament!
