Anyone knows why they are paired up together? an indonesian player with a russian player, interesting. but they are certainly doing well , knocked out XD no1 nova and liliana :eek:
and also WS player from denmark Nanna Brosolat Jensen, wow in the semis with Tine Rasmussen would be great if they both make it to the final
 
Flandy now not in Indonesia National Team, he became pro after OG last year.
Early this year he asked his manager for looking pair in XD, ad found Russkikh with no pair that time. So, they paired up
 
boy.... they sure got me excited with this pairing.But too bad , I couldn't see them in action on television or livestream feed. If I still don't get to see them in action tonight,I'm gonna cry !
 
Hi all, I went to watch them playing last night, they were truly deserved the victory over their ex team-mates. If they can keep the same form as yesterday, they will certainly give the Chinese pair a tough competition in today semifinal match. Jutawin, to clarify your uncertainty, Anastasia is definitely hotter than VM :) Also, she is very fit and very good at front court cover too.
 
OOT..

Hopes many pro badminton players frm ALL around the world can take this pair as a Good example to reach a new height on their careers. There are many pro wich arent under their national federation..

Who knows - maybe Taufik and Lin Dan will start playing MD together ;)
 
In an interview Russkikh said that "we will go back to the hotel and have a shower" and I was thinking "together?"

But unfortunately, FL/AR lost to HH/YY at the Semi-Finals. :crying::crying::crying:

We met with Flandy and Anastasia at the French Open 2008 as we (Raph and I) knew that both players were looking for partners and that these two players would suit each others styles of play. Through our company GPS www.globalplayerservices.net we have signed both players and many others to act as their agents worldwide to help promote and improve the game of badminton and make it a more professional sport to play and enjoy.
Both Raphael and I are extremely proud of Anastasia's and Flandy's performance this week as we have always been confident that this partnership would and could make an impact in the mixed doubles event.

We launched our new website at the All Englands this week and are focused on bringing the game of badminton along a more professional road where the needs and requirments of the players are paramount and our priority.

well done, it's about time badminton became more professionalised. I was really impressed with the two when I saw them play together on thursday night.
 
Hey, Mark - complete tangent here, but could you recommend a club to me in the Rathmines area? I'm training with TCD right now but we don't have a coach.. with which I think I could improve faster.
 
All they need is a bit more punch in attack. Both Anna and Flandy have good defences, and Flandy"s tricky diagonal placements does unbalance the Chinese pair a few times.

But killing the shuttle steeply is not possible with the available power.
