iPhone4s screen too small to read badmintoncentral.com properly.

    This is a huge disadvantage

S3 is Android. Iphone is IOS. Btw, IOS no flash support, you cant see livescore on your Iphone, for BCers thats a disadvantage.

Got my son a S3. Never really considered iphones. The only think about iphones is the fashion and the "want to be seen with one" thing.

Don't bother with an S3 or iPhone - go for the HTC One X! Much better phone :)

Either way - iPhone's are useless. Needing explicit permission to install apps on my phone from apple? No thank you. Android FTW. :)

Then I'm even more yesterday, the day before yesterday....cos still using Nokia :p
But hey, it has flash support, and sturdy as ever
But if between an Android & Iphone, if the thread starter is avid baddy follower, Android better. Personally I prefer Sony's range, though they havent jump on the dual/triple core badnwagon yet

Good on ya, eaglehelang! Is yours as old as mine?

This thread is interesting because a telephone is supposed to be a reliable tool that helps you get things done. But people treat them as disposable status markers, where the fear of a stranger's momentary look of contempt is more important than functionality.
(no different from some of the motivations behind racket selection )

Thanks to OP. I'm enjoying learning what's stylish and what's practical for the inevitable upgrade. :)

Haha, I am still using iPhone. Basically it was the speed of looking up people's phone numbers in my contacts that won me over. Before, I had an HTC with windows mobile and it was slow and frustrating. Put me off HTC forever.

There are part of the iPhone contacts design that really annoy me. The small screen of iPhone is getting to be annoying.

    Haven't used android before.

Nokia? They should have switched to android, not windows mobile. Going to windows mobile strategically doesnt help them get users. I dont even bother to look at their phones anymore because of the OS.

Thats why the Nokias I have are the good ol Symbian and Meego OS. Windows is popular for PC, for phones as restrictive as Iphone, with less apps. Once Symbian is discontinued, jump ship time. The HTC the other member is refering is the Android, I have read its ok, the camera is below expectation(if compare to other brands)

Personally, i can see s3 ve better resolution n faster in speed from one feature to another.
Their software platform r so much friendly to windows.
Are there any others advantg i miss out?

Iphone is ve many good feature due to most ppl creating application n games around apple.
Mostly laste features n games develop n than slowly follow by ndriod.
    Any others stuff i miss?

Camera n battery , who are better here?
Plz throw me ur tots...should i wait for iphone5?

Lumia 920 [IMG];). And of course you should at least wait for iPhone 5 ...[windows phone nowadays is much better than the old stuff on HTC; of course for apps android is a better choice but for "normal" stuff]Too bad it won't say ... "Made in Finland" ... anymore (not that you can see it anyway with non-removable battery [IMG])

I currently have iPhone 4 and Galaxy Note GT-N7000 (Android).
Previously had iPhone 3G,3GS ad Nexus S, HTC Desire, and HTC Desire.

Both sides have their pros and cons.

For me in my experience, these are the ones that stick out:
    - iPhones' pick up wifi quicker and more reliably than the Androids.
    - iPhones' GPS software is more reliable and accurate in North America. I've tried quite a few packages and one of the top brands, Navigon, is reliable and easy to use on the iPhone but terribly unreliable and missing features in the Android version.
    - You can pull the SIM without powering down.
    - Touch screen is more responsive (not much lag between touch and swipe).

    - Android has a bunch of emulators such as Commodore 64.
    - You can pretty much dump whatever you want into its storage and find some supporting app for it.
    - Not all devs follow the correct guidelines and when you have a less than popular screen size, some apps are horribly messed up.
    - You can usually swap the battery and add storage memory easily.

the good as well as bad with Android is that there are so many different phones each with different capabilities, sizes, as well as styles.

iphone only has one. and you are stuck with it, or the lesser predessors.

the rumors so far points to that the iphone 5 will be larger and thinner, but pretty much maintains the same square angle-y styling of the iphone 4. which is ok, but i personally don't find it that exciting and only evolutionary. i am sure they will upgrade the processor as well, but faster processor IMHO doesn't do much. as long as a phone is fast enough, most of the functionality will be determined by software.

i recently got myself a S3 which i think has the best of all worlds. the CPU is fast, but probably not the fastest, it has a large bright 720p screen which is very easy to read. it also has pretty much all features one can expect from a phone, GPS, SD card slot, removable battery, NFC (though almost completely pointless in the USA). i love the smooth styling and thin phone.

and hopefully it will lasts, as opposed to my old Atrix, in which motorola really disappointed me with the build quality. it is fast, but things started breaking left and right. the swipe sensor died, first, and then the wifi (yes, the wifi) chip died, and then the screen started to become flakey.

btw, GPS also have different chips, my S3 locks on way way faster than my Atrix.

and with LTE, i have gotten as fast as 49Mbps on my S3, with the avg of around 20Mbps and seldom go below 10Mbps. that, compared to the 6Mbps i get on my DSL....

maybe Apple will surprise us, but so far from what have been leaked and what they have revealed in iOS6, it doesn't look like there will be much WOW to the new phone.
