Not sure if anyone is following the latest FBI leak of Apple iPhone details - but that may be another reason to stop being sucked in by the Apple Machine! :D

iPhone 5 is released today. Personally, I prefer the iPhone to the other smart phones out there for its sleekness. In terms of capabilities, well, it doesnt really bother me and the iPhone wows me enough. Guess I am easily contented. But looking at the design of the iPhone 5, I wont buy it.

looks like the review of the iphone5 is pretty lukewarm. most reviewers think it is just evolutionary change and not that exciting. i think the surprising amount of leaks prior to the release has a lot to do with it.

but it is also the case that iphone5 is no longer the most advanced phone in the world. there are many phone which are on par and many even have better features.

    HTC One X
    Samsung Galaxy S3
    Samsung Galaxy Note 2

i just bought a S3 2 weeks ago. loving it so far!!

No wonder you haven't been putting out the smartphone app for BC forum... you've just gone to using a bigger screen! :p

My iphone 4 plan is about due and after seeing the boring iphone 5 release, I'm ready to jump ship to the S3... just so that I can view BC better. :)

    good advice.

don't buy the phone because your friend has one or everyone else buying one.

buy it because you need a phone and it suits your need.

    Yeah ... [IMG].

No to mini iphone, it (4) is already mini to today's standard. Xperia U/Sola is an interesting "mini" and cheap(er) to buy separately.

Once you start to reach late fourties, you'll start to have presbyopia and start having difficulties with small print. Like me. :p. So that's why I'm going directly from a 3.5" iPhone 4 to a 4.8" S3.

Plus I feel that Apple is getting to be too big for its britches, what with throwing it's weight around like MS used to.

Even 7" or 10.1" tablets are a struggle to me. Need to enlarge most reading articles or use a reading glass.

Nah, BC ought to offer 'audio-book' mode for us old squinters. ;)

Perhaps kwun could hire James Earl Jones as narrator. Or even just John "That Guy" Burgess.
