German Open 2008: Day 2 (27/02)

What a pity....Fran/Rendra managed to level the scores at 20-20, all the way to 23-23...before the GER pair takes the second set 25-23.

Meanwhile, Rian Sukmawan/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki are doing well at the moment, despite the rumoured injury as they take the first set against Tadashi Ohtsuka/Keita Masuda 21-15.
 
Fran/Rendra are cruising through, leading 11-5 at the interval of the rubber-set.

Rian/Yoke are still leading Ohtsuka/Masuda 7-5.
 
Rian/Yoke have a comfortable 11-7 lead at the interval of the second set, while Fran Kurniawan/Rendra Wijaya have booked their place in the last 16 as they beat Johannes Schoettler/Tim Dettmann 21-18, 23-25, 21-9.
 
Looks like it is going to be a win for Fran-Rendra... Yes! 21-9 in game 3!

Rian-Yoke 12-8 in the 2nd game...
 
Ok.... 15-10 for Rian-Yoke! Great progress so far! The Japanese pair are a good world-class students of Park Joo Bong...
