Their playstyle is like a combinations of
Sanjaya/Gideon's attacking playstyle. Fast smashing and drives. Althought not to the speed of kamura/sonoda.

And the defensive play style of Hendra Setiawan.

Izzudins court awareness and reaction shots are sexy. And not to forget his return serve and his 3rd rally shot is his key weapon

watching them in the ongoing japan open 2022.. they seemed to be in a rut.. none of the initial excitement or intensity that used to make them an exciting team to watch.. right now .. they look like just another Malaysian mediocre pair ...so fast?

No tactics and gameplan and only know how to push fast. They need overhaul in many ways.

The good thing is they still have time to evolve and develop their game in the next six months.

Bad thing is. We don't see any kind of passion or hunger in their play..I can't see them evolving in this new year. Still same safe play style

The results speaks for itself. Rexy have two choices right now: split them (but miss Paris OG) or keep stagnating (unless they find a solution).

Apparently BAM has decided to split them up...

More news on whether they're out of BAM to be independent players or what

What’s the story behind reforming the partnership?

Is it seeing another pair reaching the finals of Malaysian Masters ?

From some social media posts, the lack of progress from their new partnership caused the two of them to rekindle for a meeting to reunite as a pair again. Probably for Malaysia to have more luck in having more competition for the Paris Olympics.

They were my favorite MDs to watch from Malaysia. So I'm super stoked that it's happening again

Sometimes having a break is a good thing.

Reassess goals and partnerships for the better. Sometimes partnerships can get hung up on unnecessary details.

Rexy did say that the dissolution of their partnership was a mistake. Maybe he had a hand in the reconciliation

It was pretty obvious neither of them are going to do better with anyone else.
