What kind of money are you guys forking out for 66UM and GT5 respectively? I find 66UM very cheap, so I'm not sure I trust your overly happy evaluation of GT5 being better in ALL aspects AND being a lot cheaper! For your reference, the last reel of 66UM I purchased, set me back to the tune of USD $68 including shipping. (There's a price war in Denmark right now on strings, I just love it! A club college of mine purchased BG80 even cheaper last week).
Well I don't get reels because string availability in SG is pretty impressive. But I pay like 2 bucks less than ultimax per pack/job.
In the shops here I think Ultimax is like A$12 a packet? I buy 95% of my strings from Stringer's World in the UK.
Wow! Then you're really spending your life savings on strings. I can understand why you're keen on alternatives. 1 reel here = 7 packs. That's 3 times the price... Ohh boy.

I don't think you can get them to ship overseas, no. But there is an slight chance (4th one below). I'm shopping at 4 different shops in Denmark: One is NOT shipping outside Denmark, it's a very local shop, and the low price there are something you bargain with the owner for. The other (the official Yonex shop in Denmark and Sweden, yonexshop.dk), is only shipping to Denmark and Sweden. This is where I purchased last time. 3rd one ships to the EU. Transocean-sport.dk They don't advertise the low prices, but they have "price guarantee" on the Danish market, so they match lowest Danish price. Thus you could probably get them to ship to the EU at the low price, but it would take a bit of effort (because you normally get the low prices by talking to them in the shop, saying what price the other shops have - then they match it). 4th shop doesn't mention anything about shipping outside Denmark. They DO however have a feature at their site, to show prices in Euro and USD, and they do accept orders and agreements in English and payment through PayPal. So maybe they are worth a shot! Be aware, that shipping prices out of Denmark are horrible, so ask for that. https://badminton-import.dk/100-strenge You will find their email address at the buttom of the page. Also when shipping out of the EU, I think there's some VAT return you can benefit from - VAT in Denmark is 25%, and that was even included in the prices I listed earlier (never tried it for obvious reasons). HOWEVER: Their price today is 500 DKK / reel, which is = USD$70-72. BUT their website says USD$85 when you select USD! Maybe that has to do with shipping costs, or simply that they don't want to send outside Denmark unless there's a better mark-up?

Hey, my G-Tone FINALLY arrived from e78! Only took like two weeks Colours looks cool Yellow is an actual banana yellow (not neon) and the green and orange are really vibrant. I'll string them tomorrow and have a hit on Thursday, see if I like it.
