Gosen G-Tone 5

Honestly I have t be honest the 30x32 stringjob yesterday felt way softer than 65Ti for G Tone 9. GT5 goes pretty much bananas after 33 but this felt more like medium feeling than hard. Obviously nowhere near BG80 let alone R4X110.

 

did i not tell you that it was soft in class of bg65?

 

Reading the last week worth of posts on GT9. It boggles my mind how anyone dares to say it is a hard string. I'd donate my entire racket collection if it actually was.

Not that soft more like medium. Maybe it’ll be hard at 37 who knows.

 

experiences based on trying momone when it was first introduced in the market and since then its been rare in india. Upto now, i will be honest, i havent run more than 4 packets of momone on 25x27lbs. feel was softer than bg66 and very crisp like bg66.
you can tie it at a tad lower tension for caution.

 

I think it’s mostly down to their chart. I’d never tried it so I went in with an open mind but with a new racket today I’m probably gonna opt for 65Ti instead of GT9.

 

higher tensions in gosen strings are just inconsistent, hit or miss even with individual string packets therefore its advisable to just go a bit higher than permissible limit, at 30x32lbs it will just be like bg80 but inconsistent in performance. r4x 110 shines the brightest on 25x27lbs

 

I killed a set of R4X 110 in like 1 session. It had all but snapped. Shame, it's a nice string to play on it.

 

Just tried a BG80/G-tone 5: Great great great combo. Its not as "hard" as bg80s, but its hard enough and has more of a "ring/ting"' to the shots. Great feel as I feel the G-tone 5 controls the shuttle great. Much power, lots of control, down the line smashes and clear are no problemo.

G-tone 5/ BG66UM: i honestly don't like this string combo at all. It feels so soft. It is unforgiving when you miss the sweet spot and lacks some power. It sounds nice and high pitched and has extreme control, especially upnet court play. It just doesn't cope with my style in doubles at all. Singles is fine...but I still don't prefer it.

 

Next No.1 and GT5 combo ? I have been using for a week and have nothing apart from praise. GT5 gives good control and No.1 repulsion... And not to mention the awesome life span of both of them together .. all my N9-2 have been converted to this for now. Mind you , this combo might be softer than BG80 and GT5 combo . I run it at 27-29

Maybe but not sure. Regardless I asked about this matter and he said I can send you his number and he'll send it directly anyway (anything you want or anyone else for that matter). I think amazon takes a decent bunch of money so it'd be much more expensive than straight up transfer and courier.

Hahaha..... It's ok buddy , still the price is too good what he quoted me .. just received 8 packets of No. 1 so gonna finish them and straight order the reel. Not sure which colour through in love with this string

 

Orange or yellow probably. I'd say hybrid it

 

I can confirm orange and yellow better than red. The best if you guys can find turquoise blue gtone5.
