    hi guys,

Just wondering, what Mens singles, mens doubles and mixed matches do you think are the best from the past 4 years? such as ones with awesome rallies, attack, defence, trick shots! the kind of matches you watch over and over again.

One of the best doubles games has to be Tony/Halim vs Candra/Sigit in the All England 2001 final. Very entertaining match, brought the crowd into it and all 4 players were asked to do a lap of honour at the end. For Mens singles, there were many great matches, too many to name >< Lin Dan vs Peter Gade in 2004 AE and Lin Dan vs LCW in MO 2006 (because of that great comeback).

Yes there have been many great matches under the new scoring system (this year)! I think if anything the new scoring system does actually make the watching of matches more exciting.

LD vs LCW MO 2006 definitely was one of the best matches I've seen for sure. Until then I didn't think a comeback like that was really possible under the new system.

A match I found very entertaining was TH vs PG AE 2004 (I think). I'm not sure why, as it wasn't all that close. It was just a pleasure to watch...

In women single, in my opinion it's without any doubt Zhang Ning vs Mia Audina during the OG 2004 !!
In men's single ... it's really hard as there is too many great matches ! T_T
In women's double the olympic final ! Zhang Jiewen/Yang wei vs Gao ling/Huang sui

Ahhh... greatest modern days match.. Malaysians would never forget the great comeback from Lee Chong Wei in MO06 when all of us thought he would never win... How many times this thing could happen right in front of ur eyes? I bet millions of malaysians watching the final live were screaming like crazy at that moment, it was memorable

Agree (and disagree) with the choices made here.

One match People haven't mentioned in MS (probably because it doesn't involve LD, PG, TH or LCH) Is the Thomas Cup Final 2004 CHN Vs DEN 2nd Singles Match BCL Vs Kenneth Jonassen. A Great tense match which was absolutely crucial to the Outcome of the Final. LD was Expected to beat Gade, but and JR/LP beat Cai/Fu in one very close game and another easier game. At 1-1 and The second MD being Sang Yang/Zheng Bo playing Martin Luungard/Jens Eriksen BCL had to win. It went to three, BCL won (eventually) and knew they were beaten since Xia Xuanze (then World champion) was playing Peter Rasmussen who was nowhere near his top form, so Eriksen/Luungard lost anyway, but had BCL missed out, I would have bet ML/JE to beat SY/ZB and DEN to win TC!!

Otherwise another one not mentioned (although not within last 4 years) would be MS WC2001 Final Gade Vs Hendrawan. Gade blew it, but not without some great badminton from both in the process.
