Just as it's telling how someone plays by the place they wear out the strings, how do you wear out racquet grips, and what does that tell you?

I used to find that my racquet grips were mainly replaced just due to sweat and discolouration, so I changed them frequently and didn't really notice wearing out. Recently, I use a thinner overgrip that wears faster, and the wear spot is just where my thumb joint sits. That is between bevel 7 and 8 in the following image:

I have no idea what that means - whether it is good or bad, but was curious as to your own experiences and findings!

I change my grips when the feel has gone. Not sure how to place any significance to your findings except perhaps you hold the racquet too tightly?

Must be a lot of changes if you like the tacky grips!

I keep 5 racquets in case one breaks. LOL

Yeah, I suppose I do change them every so often.

I think my racket wears in the same place. My thumb also gets rough on the edge of that joint. I think it gets worn there from the constant smashing.
