Out of all the ex-national players, Kim KiJung seems to be doing best.
Which surprises me, because I always though he was the least talented of the 6.

WZY is returning everything that SJH is throwing at her.

Wang Zhiyi's victory is unexpected, esp after seeing how Sung JH wiped the floor with her in g2. To WZY's credit, her retrieving ability is her saving grace, probably frustrating and tiring out SJH in the decider but I feel WZY is not proactive or seizing the initiative enough to go on the attack, instead playing very much a controlled rallying stroke game a la Wang Shixian, somewhat too defensive to my liking though she has some nice strokes.

To be fair, we've to note this is Sung Ji Hyun's third back-to-back tournament after the China Open and the HK Open, probably the accumulated fatigue may be taking a toll on her, esp in her match with Zhang Yiman yesterday and Wang Zhiyi today who was getting a lot back, particularly, in G1 and G3.

On the contrary, it should be "bad" for Korean badminton seeing that they are outperforming the young pairs from the national squad:D:D

Just rewatch LYD/YYS, i dont Yoo made this many dives when he was on the national team. I dont know if its age/rusty or they just put on an exhibiton :/ either way, it’s good to see again that lifting no longer instantly equals to lost. Have the racket up, play patient and wait for counter. LYD/YYS gogo!!
