Hi,
Returning to badminton after long break ~40 years. Nice to see an active group of senior players in Southern California at a recent tournament. Need to get a new racket and shoes and get out and play.

Thanks, hope to be playing soon. Just had ankle surgery a few weeks back, everything went great. I'm taking my vintage cabonex 3 racket to be strung next week and plan to pick up a new racket and shoes probably at the same time. Hopefully I'll be playing in August
 
Yeah, as soon as I get it restrung I'll post pictures. I picked up gut strings from a racket store in Canada, they arrived last week. I probably won't do much more than hit around a little bit with it, it was my main racket when I used to play.
 
Hi sorry, here is a pic of my racket after being restrung. Gut strings 17lbs. I’ve played with it several times, good control, solid smash. Definitely head heavy.image0.jpeg
