Hi are these dates final for HK open 09? Nov 10-15. Me and my friend are hoping to book a plane ticket as early as now. Thanks in advance.
I am betting on these dates and we have booked our flights to HK for these dates. Unfortunately I cannot find any more detailed information about that event on the Web. More info anyone please?
Hahaha I was in the same position last year.. What I did was I e-mailed the HK Badminton Ass. at hkba@hkolympic.org and asked them about the dates (and they replied). Anyway, they actually have a Calendar of Events 2009 uploaded on their website and there it said that the HKO will be on 9-15 Nov.. But to make sure you can try e-mailing them. Best of luck! Hopefully you guys will be able to attend the SS..
I just emailed them and they replied within an hour I got confirmation of the date and ticket sales will commence in mid October. I was asked to check their website around that time as well.
Wow! nice! hopefully I get a piece of those tickets. Well 2 for me and my friend. Seems hard though as I was browsing thru the old HK open 08 threads.
I am flying back from SFO to Singapore and my SQ flight stop over in HK. I can layover in HK for 2 nights and catch both the SF and Finals ! Please let me know where I can buy the tickets to the event, thanks.
I think this is what it might be.... November: Finals - 15th Semi - 14th Quarter - 13th Round 2 - 12th Round 1 - 11th Correct me if i'm wrong.
Last year some matches of Round 1 started on the 1st day after the qualifying round, that will be on Nov. 10. I believe it was due to limited number of courts at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium.
I suggest you buy your tickets for the tournament early. HongKong open tickets are usually sold out very early.
especially the final match, all tickets in final sold out within 1 hour last year...i can only buy semi-final's ticket
i wish i could just go and make it there! lol if any of you guys record videos could you post up the links? and/or upload to YouTube? thanks!
I'm going to the night session for the quarter finals by the way...the finals were sold out in 30 mins
