hey i did a search but i couldn't find anything. so i was just wondering how good do you have to be to get sponsored? i play for the county and for a division 2 mens league. however seeing as i'm 16 i can't drive and my mum doesn't like taking me to tournaments. hoping people who are sponsored can help me out with this and tell what level they are?

Mate, i sent you a PM regarding Apacs sponsorship , but all I can say on here is to have a word with the guys at Victors , they have a bigger head-quarter in Europe and have been involved in sponsoring few tournaments in Scotland.

I also know this player who is currently sponsored with the bronze scheme and she seem to be very satisfy with the contract and all the products she got as part of the sponsorship.

I think since you are 16 , you are more likely to be successful because they are on the hunt for some new talents.

P.s. I am not sponsored by anyone , at my age I am too old and not good enough. Also I love my Yonex rackets too much

What sponsored tournaments in Scotland ? I haven't seen them this year. All the tournaments (Junior at least) are sponsored by either Ashaway, or for the 4 main ones Yonex.

I sent APACS an email at the end of September, and I got a pretty quick reply, there package that they were going I offer me looked really good, but some of the terms and conditions were just stupid. Which was one of the reasons that put me off.
Others reasons were that my stuff I had was already really good, and getting sponsored would just limit me to what I could use for a year, I am happy to remain an independent player :D
I will see if I can find the email, to show you how stupid some of the T&Cs were

they offered me a package, with 2 rackets shorts shirts shoes etc, and it looked good, but the T&C really put me off, some of the T&C include (summerized)
"The player shall be available on a least 2 occasions for a minimum of 2 hours to promote the APACS brand"
"The player shall hold two demo sessions, for his/her club and promote the APACS brand, full support will be given by the company"
"The player must not use products of another company under ANY circumstances, wheter or not in private or public, without prior permission from the company, unless the company have deemed the products unsuitable."
There is more, but will have to read further, these were the ones I thought were a bit too harsh for a Junior player

lol jeez not use any other products even at like social club thats a bit harsh. otherwise that doesn't seem too bad, but if a more flexible offer from another company was made people would definately choose that :p

How much did you have to pay for the package or did they offer everything for free?

Yeah , they are fast, No problem, I think they have BS9,BS10,BS11 in stock as well, I would try those ... dont worry about getting no freebies, they will prob sent you a few free t-shirts, bags and other small gifts to get you started ..Victors is a very popular brand in asia , check out the videos on the website and be familier with the company ......
