Maybe you should go for the Victors sponsorship as well, send them a e-mail and see if they reply ! (you can then forget about spending $$$$$$$$$$$$$ on Li-Ning rackets ) The BS11 is a pretty good racket .....
lol yeah, it kinda annoying cos i just ordered a new racket a couple of days ago. apacs 200 should get it soon. might get the bravesword 10 when i next can afford it( on a paperround wage )
yes you can from www.tennisnuts.com but it's expensive, it's better and cheaper getting them from abroad
I've known sponsored players for tennis before and these T&C are pretty standard. That first one is probably no more onerous than having to take some pictures or something. The second is standard as well, especially since the company will provide support. The third may seem the most onerous but in reality it's probably the one that is not up for debate if you're getting free stuff. I've heard about some of the fights the US olympic basketball team had to go through because the team was sponsored by Nike but some of the individual players were sponsored by other companies like Adidas.... In the end, the very first sponsorship deals are typically not that great. Once you're sponsored they will start to track your performance and the better you do the better the sponsorship will become.
Thanks for the advice druss at the moment I am happy with my equipment though ( apart for that N90 II which I think I will order soon )
Ya... I never got to the stage where I was considered good enough, probably because I started so late and didn't have a good coach until I was in my 20's but when I was playing tennis ini high school my friend was ranked 2nd in Canada for his age. Sponsored by Prince and got a huge scholarship to the University of Texas when we graduated. I was 7th in my provincial high school championships and if I was going to take it seriously I should have started then. Oh well, I still love the game.
^^^ I am suprise you remembered that I do rate the T200 very , very highly after testing it (but cant get hold of one) .. Druss is right as well, if you get the chance of getting sponsor then take it... you could add it to your C.V and the deal they offer would improve if your results improve as well.
Now if you really did order it a few days ago and it was not face to face distance selling regulations mean you can cancel the order up 7 working days from the day you received the goods, you can even have used it, but not damaged it. If they haven't sent you the correct information in the correct way ( which most business don't) you don't even have to post it back to them, they have to refund your money, but you do have to make it available for collection by them. Sounds ridiculous I know but that is my understanding of the law. I doubt it is a good idea to go do this route as you are ultimately biting the hand that feeds you! http://www.oft.gov.uk/shared_oft/business_leaflets/general/oft698.pdf
i was just wonder, can you quick your contract at any time? not saying that i want to at the moment but if some other company offered me a better contract would i be able to quit the one i'm on or do i have to wait till the contract is up? or can i have more than one sponsor? i'm curious because my mate wants to get sponsored to so being nice i sent all the emails out to loads of different companies for him and waiting on there response so if he gets a better one than me would i be able to switch to anothe company?
also, i love the apacs t200 and the company haven't said anything about not using other companies products.
I dont think you can use other companies product if you are sponsored , otherwise what is the point of them sponsoring you when you are using and advertising other company products when you are on court.
you can use products from other companies IF you have the companies permission, or under extreme circumstances (I.e. You are playing a tournament and your strings snap and then you have none of your company that is sponsoring rackets left, then you can use other rackets I would think)
