    Wow, that's tough.
You're right. It's tougher for CHN to have perfect score in Olympics because of entry limits. In fact CHN won golds in the 3 events where they have the maximum 3 entrants. Not the other two where they only have two entrants.Amazing correlations.

    Congrats.....China won all 5 titles....

1 silly idea came thru my mind....hihihi.....to produce talented players like China, we must first have a pool of talent...for that....fellow bolehians....quick go get married, deliver more babbies for baddy....

With those talented players, China players have to fight for their place in national team...our player...no result produced also can stay....

Starting next year, or end of this year..

..maybe all of the top contending teams will skip the early tournaments to have a similar military training camp like the CHN squad just had..it worked for them, so who knows??..hmm..

Nope, each military training is good for 1 -2 years of badminton

China won all the 5 championship title.. The effect of the training and the missing of the first 2 super series in resulting a lower world ranking of the player is getting a payback now. Of course all the other runners up is doing great as well.

Now me know why ranking points in badminton such a laugh. Even after winning AE , the rankings for the winning player didnot raise a lot.

Why? Cause in badminton the different points in winning Super series and Grand Prix tournaments are not that big.

SS got 9200 points. GP winner got 5000. So if you win 2 GP you will had more points than winning SS title.

Mean whille in tennis, winning Grand Slam (Only 4 GS in one year compare to so many SS in badminton) you win 2000 points. Win GP only got 500 points. You had to win 4 GP to equal one Grand Slam title.

And points between winner and finalist and then semi finalist also are hilarious in badminton.

Winner of SS get 9200 points, finalist got 7800 points (only 15,2% less ) and Semi finalist got 6420 (only 30% less) and so on. You only need to reach quarter twice in SS events to beat one SS champion points.

In tennis, winner of GS get 2000 points. Finalist get 1200 points (40 % less) and semifinal got 720 points (64 % less) You need to reach SIX of grand slam quarter final to win one GS winner.

Thats why lots of badminton rankings were hilarious and did not reflect the real strength for badminton players.

yup. People talks about lyb fixing but not bwf's distorted way to distribute points to fit their certain unspoken agenda. I don't mind that for open, but OG and WC use ranking points to limit players eligibility.

that is indeed a problem... i dont see why China would actually care though... they always easily qualify for the maximum allowed players for OG and WC

besides... personally i think China stopped caring about world ranking

they should use the system in TT, you lose/win pts according to who you beat, not what you win ^^
