Yonex Muscle Power 30, a decent racquet?

I'm quite new to this forum, and tried searching for a similar topic for my question below, but making a new thread might be a waste of space, so I'll combine my question and my answer to the topic here.. If no one minds =S

So here it is, I spend + borrowed all the money I can to buy a MP-30 after getting irratated by ISO23VF.... I'm a really poor guy, and really like badminton. The string is going to be BG80 at 23lb, 1 more lb than the recommendation... Picking it up on wendesday (it's monday right now).

I'm really not sure if I made the best choice in buying a racquet considering there wasn't a wide selection for my price range.

:)Question::)Do you guys think this is a good choice? BG80 @ 23lb? How decent is MP30? alot better than ISO23VF?

Anyways let's see how much I've contributed to badminton....

    lessons: $200
    Iso23vf : $50
    MP30: $130
    string: $24
    shoe: $80
(In CDN, and I kinda rounded the numbers)

    =$484......

Eversince I began badmintion in Juinor high, my thought is to upgrade to better equipment when you get better, and not get over $500 in raquets, shoes, clothes, and string.

    My list;
Pro Kennex ??- 20.00 started at this in 9th.
    ISO 30-60.00 US 99.00 SIN
ISO 60 Light [ raquet now]- 110.00US 180.00 SIN [ dad bought at RSH Changi so they are overpriced.]
    Ti 10-[ uncle's, but I use now]-not sure
Wilson court shoes- no need for yonex 20.00
String- Bg 68 ti and Bg6-not sure, uncle bought it
    Grip- Yonex Super Grap 5.00
bags- free yonex bags from uncle:D
Total= about 215.00+30.00 for shorts and shirt, not sure though dont pay for birds. Gym is free:D all good...for now

    This is an excellent topic!

Well it varies what I bring in the bag but my present inventory is:

    Forza Titanium 10CF = 820 SEK
    Forza Titanium 6CF = 899 SEK
    Racstar Champia = 499 SEK

    Yonex SHB 58 M = 599 SEK

Totally 2817 SEK of dedicated badminton equipment, about +400USD with actuall exchange rate.

Add to that about 1500-2000 SEK for cloths, also used for other sports.

And I'm not counting expendiables like gripwraps, (re-) stringing, shuttles, courtfees, startingfees and the likes. Annually I would estimate that cost to be about 3500-4000 SEK.

My next buy I look forward to is a racketbag (my old backpack is falling into pieces) and I'd probably need a second pair of shoes too.

    awesome investment, i must say.

beware though, the payout isn't going to be $$, but lots and lots of fun in the badminton court and better health in the long run, which is priceless. well worth it imho, i must have invested in badminton 10x the amount you have, maybe even more.

oh dear, i can sense another mastercard commercial spoof coming....

    badminton racket - $100
    badminton shoes - $80
    shuttecocks - $15
    open gym fee - $5

better fitness and health till old - priceless.

Kwun, you'd better be careful and register these slogans. Before you know it, you will see them on the TV somewhere in Asia!
