    Aw.. and CYF lost:(
I hope she is okay. That slip looked quite bad from the replay.

RI took the first match in 3 games 21-18 20-22 21-17

Congrats Sindhu. Didn't need to be too good today, but you can only beat the opposition infront of you. If that opposition is pissing away leeds and producing countless errors like that, you can even conserve some energy for the next games.

This will be Chen/Wang's last tournament together. Chen is retiring I supposed? All the best for them.
That's kind of unfortunate since I like them the most (or only) of all TPE MD pairs at the moment.

AY couldn't capitalise on the lead she got from 18-13 up in first game. She was also 11-10 up in second game but lost I think 5-6 points consecutively. Let's hope that last point slip from AY is not a major one.

AY just fell apart towards the end.
Boy PVS's service error in g1 could've been dejavu. Not as bad as AY's serve

Sindhu is too good today. She puts on extreme pressure to yamaguchi's backhand, which is the key for most of the points. Yamaguchi does not have backhand at all. For a top WS player, this is a peculiar case.

Chen looks ready to retire...his movement is already behind the pace a lot of the time.

    But those shuttles...sooo slow...

I loved how PVS snatched the game from AY AY had lead in the first set and also in the scone at times but PVS just stayrd focus and did what she and few chosen girls can do is to play an unending rallies.

that one shot where she literally made me feel like i was gona crack my back and gave the shuttle back and still managed the point was the play of the current WS match and i guess its short replay is uploaded by BWF in their social media.

Next game lets see what Sameer verma could do against the Kingto Momota

Yeah, we already talked about it. I was expecting AY to lose, but seeing the way how she managed to do it by blowing fat leads (remember that 19-12 to 20-19 at the worlds?) with strings of errors and a service error in a deciding moment yet again is nevertheless frustrating.

Sindhu with great defence, hardly any mistakes and today also very good netplay certainly deserved the win.

Looks like just his movement speed...he skipped the last tournament with Wang to prep I think.

And now everyone will stop watching MD and turn to MS lol...
