Zheng/Huang had more difficulties in fast halls if the opponents played the right strategy.

Hopefully minions won't under perform here. Just defeat both CHN pairs, make their ranking fall below Zhang Nan's :D:D:D:p

Just relying minions to beat both CHN pairs doesn't make Liu/Zhang's ranking above other CHN pairs. In order to keep Liu/Zhang above Han/Zhou, Astrup/Rasmussen are needed to beat both CHN pairs.

Interesting, ZBW is on the lead against TTY in G2. I hope she can force the rubber to make things more interesting.

Also, Chen/Jia are trailing Du/Li. Not good for them.

Yamaguchi is tired on court, this is the third time I see the case in this year. First is the final match All England, second is the the match with Chen yufie (forget the tournament name, maybe China open 1000), and now is the third with Sindhu.
Yamaguchi should consider to leave her team for preparing for Olympic game 2020, like Okuhara

Winning All Japan championship maybe is the reason make her tired in the first match of this tournament.

Akane yamaguchi was made to work today. She could not withstand extreme pressure sindhu was giving to her. Sindhu has beaten her in the last 4 meetings. So, it's not a surprise that she lost.

All Japanese players, if they want to be selected for the national team, are required to participate in the All Japan Championships. This has absolutely nothing to do with corporate team affiliation.

That aside, in terms of securing a satisfactory training environment, I think it is far too early to tell whether Okuhara's decision to leave Unisys is actually a wise one.

    AE2016. See the finals especially.

Anyway battle of attrition on C2 now, Tommy vs Kantaphon.... what a mess. First day and this, both will suffer for the next group match down the road...

Because the one who wins this match will have big chance to go through semi-final. Momota is probably take the first ticket, so they (Sugiato/Kantaphon) have to fight in this match to take the second ticket in this group.

The 10 y. Older supremely fit Indonesian helped Wangchareon to measure his "limit" as they March full distance.
TS secured his win and hence advantage over SV and KW.
SV was smacked rather brutally by KM in the match 1. Which can however come in as a blessing in disguise as he play TS tomorrow or even more so against KW.

The scheduling is somewhat done in Sameer's advantage.
They all need one victory. SV will be considerably "fresh" and can seal his victory tomorrow. If KW doesn't spring an upset tomorrow, the conditions for SV's qualification will be clear on the deciding day and he needs to score only that much points or games.

Yup, Tianhe Gymnasium but this time looks different, mostly for red carpet instead of the usual green colour.
All five matches of first session in court 1 are completed faster than court 2 which included two longest matches in WS and MS, 78 and 89 minutes respectively. Chen Yufei couldn't maintain her positive head to head stats against familiar rival Ratchanok Intanon. Then Thailand young star Kantaphon Wangcharoen is yet to break jinx, losing once again to Tommy Sugiarto, thanks to Indonesian solid defense and better tactic as one way traffic in deciding game saw Wangcharoen faltered, 11-21.
