I don't think she really thought that Momota will lose. She even said she made that choice not on his, 'SY's" technical ability. It was a feel thing , i.e tongue in cheek. You can tell that is so because throughout the match she never reinforced her "belief," instead she kept saying that Momota can play better and the game can change over a single point lost by SY. So do you really think she made that choice based on her study of SY's progress the whole year? Even Morten asked her on what basis she made that choice , as he and most of us were backing Momota, including myself. Momota is a great player but he was outplayed and was just as surprised at his loss.

I thought was just for commentary purposes and to spice up the game a bit

Well Morten or Steen never got it right. Must be something else when Gill got it right ;)
Woman's intuition sounds much cooler and spicier don't you think?
Though I am almost sure she was probably as surprised as the others when it actually happened the way it did :D

Next year when Lee Chong Wei returns, say in March, hopefully, at the All England, MS will be even more exciting, what with Lin Dan and Chen Long both undergoing secret training during the winter; just wait for all three great masters to come out of 'seclusion'
Yes, GC, when asked by Morten later to explain what made her say that, explained it's simply her gut feeling, nothing technical.

I Don't think LCW will be much of a threat. Even if he returns helathy from his cancer recovery, he won't be completely match fit

His nose cancer is at early stage and, most importantly, the hunger to win the elusive gold is still there, never waned. The Olympic cycle begins next April end, we'll know the answer then.

Does anyone know why some nations were banned on youtube by BadmintonWorld.tv ? (people in those nations cannot watch BadmintonWorld.tv)

Probably because that country would have an official broadcaster for BWF tournaments. In my country, it's Star Sports/Hotstar. People won't buy TV package if they can watch in BWF youtube channel for free.

If you are in Vietnam as your location suggests then the BWF youtube should work, it worked for me this summer

My friend told me that a certain "television station" bought it so that we (Vietnamese) can watch BadmintonWorldTV for free. But I don't believe it. Then I go here to question this thing. ^-^
