Great read. My only problem might be with your thought on string tension being a personal preference, like your favorite color. What if you don't know what colors are? You first need to be introduced to colors. You first need to be introduced to string tension an I see stringing as an artform and the stringer the artist, the customer interested in looking at your art, sometimes you need to explain how your art works, giving them guidence on how to look (use) your art. The stringer needs to give the novice player who has no idea advice (string tension)sometimes on how to look at (use) your art. And please don't fart when you use your art. So sometimes you need to tell players who have no idea a starting point for their tension so they can learn how to love your art and then tweek it so they can be acoustom to love it even more. Be smart, don't fart. @kwun is not smart, he always farts!
