susi often won againts zhan ning between years 1995-1998 (susi retired in 1998), susi won 4 times and zhang only won 1 time head to head detail at: http://www.worldbadminton.net/Porta...name1=SUSANTI&firstname2=Ning&lastname2=ZHANG
correction the title above if only susi susanti were 24 years old now, she would be the 2005 world champion sorry, my english is very bad
But at that time, Zhang Ning was not the top player in China. She only became outstanding recently, when Gong Ruina and Zhou Mi sort of dropped off.
If Susi were 24 years old now, and how about Ye, Bang, Li Ling Wei, Han Aiping, Gong ZC, .... were all 24 years old too. If you only look at head-to-head record like your other posts, Li Ling Wei is 2-0 against Susi. But if all these legends were 24 years old, I myself will pick Susi to win too.
if susi were 5 years old, i would have beaten her easily. in other words, i don't think your logic is valid.
29y/o Zhang Ning plays a lot better than 24y/o Zhang Ning, not to metion the 19 y/o self when Susi was in her prime. Not to diminish the achievement of Susi, but based on the fact that she beat Zhang when Zhang was a teenager (or early twinkie), and draw the conclusion that she could beat Zhang if both were in their prime, would be a simple mistake. In my opinion, it might be just the opposite. The player who gave Susi the biggest trouble in her prime was Ye, but because of Ye's inconsistency and weak mentality, Susi got the upperhand. With Zhang playing a similar style as ye, similar height and pysique and more importantly, a much stronger mentality after she won the worlds and the Olympics, if both play their best badminton, Zhang will probably come out as the winner.
LOL! Eggzachary Kwun. If Lin Dan had to wear bowling shoes and play me with a tennis racket, I could beat him too. Oh wait, still maybe not.
i would like to say she is one of the best female single player ever..due to the Wgrrix record..she won 6 time in a row....from 1990-1995 and lost the final in 89 & 96.. was 8 time finalists..........but 8 times in a row in the final........i guess no one can beat this record i properly will pick her if all of the legends were 24 sorry..it wz my fault..she is one time WC holder..but she is 6 times world grand prix holder
We saw 'badminton legends meet' in Jakarta last week, and Susi played against Huang Hua (You remembered her, don't u). If she still a player, I guarantee Susi still the best among another women single players in Indonesia. Her split, lob, rally, and stamina were amazing if we remind that she have three kids now. When Indonesia and world will have another Susi???
Sowhat gt lo. my mother have had 5 children and that was not so long after delivering the 5th when she gave me love every single game and i was 15 y.o that time. And i dont want another Susi for indo, i want someone better(we need someone better). oops, make that 2 so that we have a chance at uber cup.
Indonesia has a couple hundred thousands people named Susi. What they need is a better talent management and development to produce one or two Susi Susanti out those Susissssss...
