only 50 millions rupiahs will be cleared and given to players for now.....amy be the rest will be given in any given years ( sigh!!!)
If the target of 4 golds is to be achieved, INA has to win either WS or WD on top of MD, MS and XD (3 events of which INA has an even chance). This will require a lot of upheaval in WS and WD. Even though Vita/Lilyana did win CM, it was still just one tournament and quite frankly, having them play 2 events in Olympics when they have much better chances at XD is too much of a gamble. We can see that even Gao Ling failed to land a title in WC. Even in previous tournaments she entered, it was rare that she would win both XD and WD.
.thats why we hardly make any excuses..cant think anymore.... wel...we have a wisdom called" Ming Tien hui ken hau" or tomorrow is always better...so no need to complain...
Latest report.. ..i've read is that, DPR has approved a Rp. 25 Milliar (US $2,500,000) budget for next yr's PBSI's Olympic plan, as requested by Bang Yos (Head of PBSI). However, this is still pending another general meeting where DPR will put forth all the spending budget for next yr. They've also requested PBSI to give somekind of a transparent & detailed description on what the budget will be spent on. It's an extraordinarily large amount, but since it is the only realistic sporting event which can deliver medals for INA, in next yr's Olympics, a few other groups have also supported the large sum of money to be granted to PBSI (couple of them are KONI and Menpora).. ..there was also some related news on Sony and how he didn't receive any bonus money and was somewhat neglected, even after reaching the Finals. In the news, it noted that several sporting bodies in East Java chipped in some monies and gave about Rp. $40,000,000+ ($4,000+) to Sony for his achievement. A couple of the officials also commented on how PBSI should've at least given Sony somekind of a bonus, even for $1,000 (Rp.10,000,000). His former coach, Ferry Steward also gave some criticisms on how Sony wasn't even congratulated by the coaching staff, PBSI's officials and team management after his victory over Chen Yu in the Semis. However, when Sony was asked abt why he didn't receive the bonus from PBSI or should he have received a bonus, he calmly responded by saying he understood he still has to improve and perhaps he didn't deserve the bonus. For him, it's no big deal, but will work harder in order for him to become a champion one day.
Typo.. ..oops, meant to write Rp.40,000,000+..there's no $ (dollar) sign in there.. ..hmm, i haven't heard of that news..Rp.5 million equals $500..Is that a new report??..From which publication was it reported??..
sorry rp.5 milliar rupiah,It should be 5 billion rupiah.I read it from National News, few months ago..
Hehehe I ahve been on Holiday so I am back here now posting threads.....I think 1 gold in Beijing would make me really happy...hopefully it comes from Mens Doubles
Yeah, 1 gold and I am happy too! Any category is fine with me... Who knows... WD? A few weeks ago, who among us would have thought that Lily-Vita could win the China Masters! That was the homeground of the strongest WD country in the universe. Yet, our two tomboys came out as champs!
don't worry.. mates we (badminton) have gold tradition in olympic 1992: 2 golds (susy (ws), allan (ms)) 1996: 1 gold (ricky/rexy(md)) 2000: 1 gold (tony/chandra(md)) 2004: 1 gold (Taufik Hidayat (ms)) 2008: 3 gold (MS,MD,XD)
Tangkas Badminton Club gave Liliana Natsir/Nova a expensive car each and money 200 Millions Rupiah each (They won the WC 2005). Now maybe Tangkas will give them more.
