Mulyo left to Indonesia to take care of family after his contract with SGP team ended.
Probably it was all rumors or they couldn't finalize the contract.

It is in India and BAI's interest to keep it under wraps until a contract is signed. It can still happen end of Feb-March. If you remember when Tan Kim Her first came to India he did some last minute negotiating and delayed his arrival. Both Mulyo and Tan exited from signed contracts previously so until they arrive in India nothing is certain.

This is the Indian squad for Asian Team championships in february -

(The senior players have been given a rest by almost all teams).

The doubles team doesn't look good. The selection criteria is performance in domestic tournaments which I think, was a wrong criteria. All the talented players like Tanisha, Gayathri, Treesa, Bhatnagar, Panjala, Dhruv, Arjun, etc. have not been selected. In women's singles, Tara Shah is selected but not Tasnim Mir, Unnati Hooda, Anupama or Aditi.

If India keeps the same criteria for Thomas and Uber Cup, we are doomed. The federation directly selects only those players who are in top 25. But there are many players who are not in top 25 but play international tournaments more than domestic ones because they want to increase their ranking.

I really don't see these players making a good enough team. I could be proven wrong but these doubles players have not achieved much on the international circuit.

For example, a doubles pair was not able to participate in 1 domestic tournament due to one of the player's father's demise. But when they played another domestic tournament, they won the title. But since they don't have more total points, they were not selected.

They should have taken the players' performance on international circuit in consideration too.

Same old story again. Senior players will take skip these team tournaments to underperform for the rest of the season. Except for PVS, LS, SK (based on his recent performances), and Satwik/Chirag, everyone should be made to play these tournaments. IMO, no one else has earned the right to skip these team tournaments, unless injured

Unnati is just 14 years old and is also not from gopichand or ppba academy. I don't know how she did it. I am so in awe.

You don't need to be in Gopichand or PPB academy. She has been working hard for 7 years with a very dedicated coach so it's only natural that she'll win tournaments.
