Indian WS players are training at different centers in India. Anmol Kharb, Rakshitha Santhosh Ramraj, Anupama Upadhaya are training at the Gopichand Academy. Tasnim Mir has moved from NCE Assam to Arvind Bhat, Tanya Hemanth at a private academy in Bangalore. Unnati Hooda at a private academy in Haryana. Malvika Bansod in Maharashtra. Tanvi Sharma at NCE Assam. Not sure where Tara Shah and Shrianshi Valishetty are training. Tanvi Patri, Devika Sihag, Isharani Baruah, Ashmita Chaliha and PV Sindhu at Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy with INA coach Irwansyah. The WS players who are unable to step up and are stagnating should train under Irwansyah in Bangalore. While players from the Gopichand academy will only make the move if Gopichand gives the green signal. The WS players from other centers have to make that decision on their own. Agus Dwi Santoso INA coach hired by Game Fit Academy in Bangalore. Training players who don't have access to the national training centers. Their initial target will be becoming domestically strong players. https://sportstar.thehindu.com/badm...ame-fit-academy-bengaluru/article69151731.ece
Indian Govt Honor Padma Shree [like UK's CBE? or Malaysia's Datto etc) to HAP badminton Academy promotor at Sivakasi, TN, India. It is located in remote village in southern part of India. Neat & clean, compared to Govt stadiums (SDAT, SAAP etc), training centres. Very good food. He used to come & watch state matches. Ritvik Sanjeevi trains here. Thanks for his service to Badminton!.
It is better to train at various places. (Indian) WS should NOT stay in Sports Hostels (even in PPBA /PGBA etc) and Train. Both Sindhu & Saina attended training from home until they reach some level. Parents should take house near to academy & stay for WS players . Even Malaysia BAM couldn't produce any good WS player from Bukit Jaleel School recently. For doubles, Hostel is okay.
Watched Sankar vs Chico. Sankar has beautiful, efficient and fast footwork, hope he can develop that strong smash to complement that.
Tanvi Patri's best result was making it to the final of India IC in November 2024 losing to Rakshita Ramraj in the final. Physical strength and endurance are major stumbling blocks until she becomes older. She can't go beyond a certain level until she becomes older and stronger.
Mostly foreign coaches will leave suddenly to some other country/club where they get more and upcoming players will be in big trouble. Academies, should have Sr. Indian Coach/mentor, and these foreign coaches can come & work under them, like PGBA, PPBA etc. Btw, ex players turned good coaches (Aravind Bhat, Ajit Tilak, Chetan Anand, Nikhil, Govardhana Reddy, Uday/Anand Pawar(rich?), now Guru, Parupalli, Sree Vishnu), who are fully committed to badminton training, shall be rewarded by BAI/SAI. Their earnings from coaching is very meagre, compared earning of IAS/IIM/IT professionals/Managers who either didn't do much hard work in their school/college days(& in Govt/companies as well?)
Indian Team for BAMTC to train together for 5 days at NCE Guwahati from Feb 4-8, 2025. Focus on team bonding. https://x.com/BAI_Media/status/1886350474519208312
Satishkumar wins 2 Golds for TamilNadu in Nationals. Suryanksh Rawat , 16 year old , really impressed me, reaching finals of senior nationals is not a joke. His defense is incredible. Hope he does well in the future. Satish wins XD with Aadya variyath and MS . Good going Satish. I wanna know what is the prize money of winning the Nationals.
He is looking like a good prospect for India. Will he play at the World Jr Championships later this year?
India end BAMTC in QF stage. It was expected given the lack of depth. India are dependent on 3 sectors, MS, MD and WD. If any one has an off day it's game over. XD and WS have a long way to go. 2nd MD and 2nd WD are also a long way off. Not expecting much at Sudirman Cup. India is a team in transition and it will take a few years before things settle down.
