If Sai lost in 3 games today that would have been better, If Misha wins again or Mark Caljou wins in 3 games I think it will be curtains for Sai, I think should keep his bags packed and ready.

Poor guy, I feel for him. lack of tournament experience also hampered his game, He took a game from VA in AE'21 iirc.

I think quota belongs to country, I mean bwf sets rules and associations like BAI chooses.

What are the chances for BSP, I think he still has a change but he should win with a big margin.

I fear they have not qualified, as they lost in straight sets yesterday against Minions. And the way they are playing, they already know they are out of the race.

We'll deservedly so, you wont lose 21-13, 21-11 to any pair if you are contenders.

True. It goes to show how you can't lake a single match lightly. If they were conserving their energy to win today to qualify as runner up, then it backfired.

I dont think that is their strategy, what of minions lose in straights today? even then they wont have a chance. They should have given it all yesterday.

    Can you believe it?
Chirag and Satwik are out of the tournament, and a team which they beat are through.
This is cruel, man. Feeling so disappointed.

And Sai needs a miracle (something like a quick straight set victory) to qualify.
This is not going well for India.

Actually, Sai probably can't qualify, now that I look at it again.

If he wins in straight games, Misha will qualify because of game difference.

    Damn! This is sad.

Sai Praneeth is out of the Olympics as he failed to win a single game against Misha. He doesn't deserve to progress the way he played without a fight. Indian MS the wrong Indian player qualified, BAI had the option of saying no and picking any other MS player as each country is allowed 1 entry. They just followed the system of highest ranking player earning the qualification.

So, everything is upto Sindhu now. And if she fails to win a medal, we don't have a medal in badminton this time.

Satwik/Chirag played well and were unlucky to get the group of death. They deserved a place in QF, I expect them to become a strong pair by Paris 2024.
