Let's discuss about INA players promotion and degradation. Which players (besides the top INA players, of course) that you deemed worthy to be in the national team? Which players that deserved to get kicked out from national team?
Here is the list: https://m.badmintonindonesia.org/app/information/newsDetail.aspx?/6782 MS, I think Panji will be kicked out, Firman is not that safe either but he was "the hero of BATC". Maybe they'll call Karono as he won kejurnas WS, maybe they'll let Dinar go this time Doubles: Anggia, Angga, Ricky, and Rian Agung are not safe, I think.
But, the list said that Karono is in Pelatnas as Pratama this year. I wonder if Shesar will be called to Pelatnas or not. I think he has the potential. Dinar, Anggia, Angga, Ricky, Rian Agung, Yantoni are in danger zone. They are in Pelatnas for quite a long time without notable achievements.
True, but as "MAGANG". Maybe they'll give him SK this time. his results from world tour are not that good though
Well, it is not like INA MS has won many titles in the World Tour. Shesar won Vietnam Open this year. How many titles that Firman and the others won this year? Oh, yeah, his rank is higher than the other INA MS players. His rank is now 53. There are only 4 INA players that are ranked higher than him. I guess you already know who are these 4 INA MS.
Haha okay I'm not gonna argue with that, But I'd rather give pratama players more experience. It's time for Chico and Rumbay to play more world tours.
Well, there is no country that win many titles in MS. I think AE titles for AG/JC will make their year next year. I would say its quite tight. China with 3 titles but no AG titles. so its about the same.
Yeah, most of Pratama players are the younger one. I agree that Chico and Rumbay should be given more chance to play at World Tour. If they perform good next year, INA MS will have more option to select the players for INA MS3 slot. I don't know if Ihsan will make a breakthrough or not. He has been struggling until now.
At the end of 2018, INA has collected 16 WT500+ titles. I can say that this is their highest achievements, though the number of tournaments are increased. 7 INA reps are in the top 10. In MS category, INA has 2 players on the top 10 after a long time. In MD category, INA strengthens their force by sending 3 MDs to the top 10. I don't think this has happened before. My wish for the INA team in 2019. Minions win WC. Fajar/Rian start to collect more titles and share some burden and expectation that Minions have to carry for a long time. INA MD becomes the dominating force, similar to JPN WD and CHN XD. INA MS steps up to be more threatening than before. Ginting reaches the top 5 and stands on the same league as KM, SYQ, CTC, VA on consistent basis. Jonatan and Gregoria reaches the top 10. INA WD and XD will have more solid pairs to consistently challenge the top pairs.
It will be an expected list, nothing much to surprise. As the total number of the team also more or less the same with 2018 composition (+/- 105 players). Some early publication (December 17) mentioned about that.
I am very pleased with the line up. Players like Angga, Ricky, Rian, Anggia, Dinar, Yantoni are booted out. Rinov/Phita have been upgraded to main team. Shesar is in the main team, along with Rumbay and Chico. PBSI really does a great job. Btw, I am surprised that Wahyu is booted out. Ahsan/Hendra goes professional. Butet and Debby will retire soon. And, WS head coach is left vacant after Minarti is restored back to assistant coach.
Agree, that is indeed a great line up. MS: Karono is in pratama? I'm surprised he's still that young, 18 years old. MD: now that Wahyu is out, who is going to be partnered with Ade? Surprised to know that the Dadies go pro. Still feel bad for those talents who got bad injury.
And now Jeffer Rosobin become MS pratama coach. This condition makes WS department left behind without head coach and the pratama coach without assistant coach.
Wow, pretty surprised that daddies goes professional. good luck to them! Hopefully fajar/rian could really step up this year, I want more consistent performance from them.
I just read some news that Nitya is offered to become part of the coaching team in WD. She got injured again in Thailand Open 2018 and from there her career as a player is pretty much gone. She is no longer in the national team. But, she is given a chance to become part of the coaching team. Who knows that she may become a great coach one day. From her track record as a player, it should be good for her as she has AG gold medal.
