good coaches are not being rewarded enough as other countries are stepping up in finding good coaches so many of them moved overseas meanwhile, there are hardly anything that they learn from other countries method of development
It's quite a stretch to say that Indo coach ain't gonna find anything they can learn overseas that can in turn channel back to their player development methodologies. There are many aspects that other countries do better than Indonesia, that's why you're not seeing every tournament matches being all Indonesian affair.
I did not write clearly. What I am saying is that the PBSI management and coaches have not studied any methodologies of other countries. Whether they can find anything or not is another matter
semifinals had Indonesians. This tournament is a bit tricky to use as a predictor of development. Juniors develop at different speeds for each individual. I also saw for some of the U17/U15 Indonesian juniors, they get affected by nerves. There’s a lot of pressure of expectation on Indonesian and honestly, most of the matches you never seen the opponents before. It’s easy to get upset wins. U19 level is a more consistent indicator.
There were widespread news that Pramudya Kusumawardana would leave the national team and then move to Australia. An understandable decision because maybe he didn't see promising prospects in his partnership with Yeremia. In my opinion Pram is a good player and can play for both front and back court position, if only PBSI could find the right partner for him maybe he wouldn't have left the national team. All the best Pram.
Noted Indonesian Visa Fee for sports(badminton) players to participate in tournaments is costly. Sametime it is very less for tourist visa!. Even in-coming players/coaches/parents are also like tourists...Stay in Hotels, use Taxis & may go site seeing after matches!.. Sameway like tourist Foreign currency inflow! VISA fee for players who play International sports governing body recognised tournaments shall be reduced for poor countries, atleast.
Players in Indonesia can sign individual sponsorship. Looks like Victor signed up a few players at the same time.
The ntl. team only offers the team apparel that's worn at team events to a sponsor iirc, but these are just individual contracts that had run out. Seems like LN is really hurting, not many big names remaining in their camp besides Astrup/Rasmussen Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk
Who knows, maybe we're seeing the decline of yet another sports brand that overspent trying to capture the majority of the market Sent from my SM-S901B using Tapatalk
Lining have a three year contract to sponsor the HK Open (2024, 2025, 2026). They also signed up a few of the HK junior players for equipment contract. I think that might be a little of a political decision there. 2023 HK Open was sponsored by Victor and that's a Taiwanese company. People in HK were saying Li Ning supposedly going to sponsor China team again. Not sure about that. What is definite is in China, it was hard to get Yonex racquets recently. So hard that stocks of high end Yonex racquets in Japan were sold out due to buyers from China buying up the stock. Lining is strong in Singapore - admittedly a small market.
