What an upset by Alamsyah Yunus and Pia Zebadiah Bernadeth/Rizki Amelia Pradipta.

I have always liked Alamsyah despite his limitation. On average, he can fulfill his seeding whenever he competes in international tourneys. At least, I prefer him (and Andre) to Hayom, whom may show greater promise but in general lack spirit. Hayom may also beat him tomorrow (if Hayom himself can beat Arif). We will still see both Alam and Andre competing at least for the next 3-4 years and they have so far been consistent in winning at least 1 IC title per year.

As for Pia/Rizki, Pia seems to be on a mission to prove the coaches in Pelatnas wrong. She has really been combining well with Rizki in winning the Vietnam Open GP and 2 IC (Vietnam and Indonesia) titles. It will be a huge result for her if she can win the INA GPG title this week. But she and Rizki will face the top-seed from Japan and possibly a young CHN pair that beat Vita/Nadya yesterday.

In contrary to yesterday. so far, only one INA defeat non-INA -> Sony defeated Sho Sasaki.

Based on the scoreline, Showman Sasaki seemed to have crumbled just before the second half of the 3rd set. What happened?

The title is Sony's to lose now, in my opinion.

According to someone, CM '12 as the worst SS ever in history, bcoz only have 244 posts, even less than Malaysia GPG or INA GPG. So I think someone in here must present this fact to BWF, so next year, Malaysia SS should be SSP, replace China or Korea SSP...and INA or MAS GPG replace China Masters as SS events. Number of posts in BC are the deciding factor. lol

Gao Huan may have beaten Tommy but I think he'll be stopped by Sony tomorrow.

Rare thing happened. INA MS player has 4 match points (16-20) deficit and turn the table on his favor to win at decider by 22-20. Ah, the opponent has similar syndrome, MAS player :D. Hayom defeated Arif in 3 sets (not tight, though at 1st and 2nd set).
