    final group game.

    Well,
Good news and bad news. Bad news is Nee Soon is out! Shy leh. Our team lost to Changkat Tampines. Kudos to them. Wah, played till 11pm. :crying:
But the good news is, "WE'LL BE BACK!" and stronger of course. Thats the beauty of Intercon games. You get the ups and down every year. Oh, for those who didn't know, you'll get paid if you play for your CC. So better practice hard now and qualify for next year! Good luck to the winners and may the power be with you!:D

You are very gracious with the defeat. I was watching the matches by the sidelines and imho I found the Changkat captain very dramatic. Why did he protest and ask for a change of the umpire in one of the matches? As a neutral party, I believe the umpire was fair. The chief umpire shouldn't have allowed that if the umpire didnt do anything wrong.

If I recall correctly, the captain also protested last year for some service faults on his team-mates during one of the crucial matches.

    drama

Oh ya. I forgot. You can enjoy the excitement as well. All kinds of crazy people in there for you to have a good laugh.

Sometimes its psychological to make the complains. Anyway, for me, this is just a social game. Can't expect to win much; just be supportive, enjoy the game and show.

    Hi,
You may want to call your CC and find when and where do they play. Drop by to show off your skills. If you are good, they will invite you to join their CC. As simple as that... Hope it helps.

Hmm... I'm not too sure if ur CC players practice on regular basis. For our team, we do not meet up till our team leader calls us up for the tournament. You may want to find out if ur standard is acceptable to join ur CC, otherwise, they are plenty of places u can play. Dont worry, I noticed that a lot of CC players' standard are not up to mark, including myself :D

I'm with YCK CC for few yrs. see u tonite at HG Hall if u happen to be there...

As anticipated, we were thrashed 1-4 by Mountbatten. Our first double (ME and a young lad) were thrashed by Patrick Lau and a student. Didnt know who was Patrick till my teammate (Timothy) told me who he was. Not suprise me that he was ex-SG player. Yes, he is damn good...

That's all folks... see you next yr :D

P/S: Any good players wanted to join our team at Serangoon, pls kindly PM me.

Today's finals and 3rd/4th placing will be held at Choa Chu Kang Sports Hall 3pm. You can take a train to Yee Tee MRT and either walk or take Bus No. 307 to the sports hall.

The finals is between Kembangan Punggol and Aljunied Kembangan. The Kembangan Punggol players consist of Flymax coaches Zhang Qingwu, Liu Zhen and Xiaobai. The Aljunied players include ex-national players as well as the boss of 10&10. Should be quite exciting.

    Seeya there!

Aljunied won 3-2 in the finals.

I believe Aljunied reshuffled their line-up in the finals. To avoid Xiaobai, the China men singles player of Kembangan, Aljunied fielded a middle-aged guy instead of their usual younger singles player who played in the 1st men doubles.

Aljunied won the 1st men doubles and veteran doubles easily but lost the men and women singles.

Aljunied fielded 2 ex-national players for the 2nd men doubles who played against Kembangan's Zhang Qingwu and an inexperienced doubles partner. Aljunied won the 1st game easily but Zhang and partner were leading in the 2nd game and almost forced a rubber game. Too bad his partner made lots of mistakes and Zhang couldnt cover him. They lost the second game 14-17

Pasir Ris East beat Nanyang 3-0 for third place.

    Woodlands Inter-con team forming

I used to be the Woodlands team captain. If you really keen on playing we may form a team then. Instead of practicing at Woodlands Stadium why not we practice in FUCHUN CC. It's less windy and it's 5 minutes walk from Marsiling MRT Station. It's easier for me to book the hall too.
