Can I clarify something. Are you putting the HK pair of Tang Chun Man/Tse Ying Suet in the same category as mainland China players? I don't quite think they have the same appeal. I didn't refer to mainland China players in the previous post.

    BAM needs to be dissolved.

    Let former players form them.

Those succeeded or won s750 tournaments or above shd go pro. More money and independence. Time changed. New mentality required.;)

Those who think they can get sponsors shd also go pro.

Same for other old outmoded countries.

Malaysia got a big market. A lot of money to go pro if you know where to get the money. ;)

I have a question. What is stopping Malaysia from doing similar league games like India and China ?

I know there are clubs in Malaysia but i hardly see any media coverage or attempts to make it super big.

They do not need to spend so much money to attract expensive top 8 or top 4 foreign players but they could add a very strong appeal by functioning like Ajax Amsterdam. They develop local talents and sometimes invite "potential"/budding players from non-badminton countries to play. I remember Gronya Sommerville was playing in a Malaysia for a short while. Sadly her game did not improve one bit to represent Australia strongly in bigger competitions.

Malaysia got purple leagues team event correct?

I had a thought about this before it was launched a couple years back before purple league and discussed this with my KL buddy to try get airasia to sponsor. AA was new and up coming then.

The aim is to have regional team events with a mix of current and ex nationals. With limit to a number of existing national players. ;)

Now they have foo kok keong cup but for ex nationals only. ;)

I see 14 or more Malaysian players in Estonia and Sweden the next week.
At least someone is using money to develop Malaysian players.

This shows that the problem is neither the coaches or the players but the way how BAM is managed.

Kinda doesn't make any sense that coaches that left M'sia starting to deliver results to other countries but not M'sia.

start pressuring bwf also. with one single bwf rule change, tournament registration, bam would never be able to do what they're doing. they would not be able to threaten or control an athletes career.

Wong Tat Meng was seen coaching ASY in the last few tournaments.

The surprising one is Lee Wan Wah in Japan.

Rosman Razak was released by BAM because he was deemed to be not good.

Chan Chong Ming left on his own after a somewhat so - so performance of women doubles under his charge.
