Interesting, Goh Soon Huat's name not under BAM, maybe he also quit. Kuan Kam Chong not in the list.
Vountus partner NPL, his XD partner that won 2010 SUKMA gold.
    CEH partner Sabrina for WD

MS - If Uncle Wong and LCW not participating, its to Hafiz. If LCW participates, LCW then.
MD - KKK/TBH are the favourites. But one cannot rule out Hoon/Ong, Mak/Tan, Goh/Teo, Chan/Lim, Gan/Tan and Fuzzy. A lot of contenders. Interesting to see who is the winner.
WS - WMC, TJW or Lydia. But Lydia injured, not sure yet. Hoping for something from Sonia and YLL.
WD - Chin/Chong can be dangerous. Vivian/Woon and Ng sisters should be the main contenders.
    XD - CPS/GLY, OJG/CSC and TWK/WKW shoud be contending.

Badminton: Chong Wei skips Kedah Open

"The main aim is the preparation for the World Championships and with Chong Wei also competing in the Macau Open, it was decided that it is best for him to skip the Kedah Open," said Chin Chai.

"As for the men's doubles, it is just a one-off change just to break the monotony of the players. Kien Keat-Boon Heong have been a pair for almost four years and breaking them up is just to inject some freshness. However, they will back as a pair for the Taiwan Open (Aug 3-8).

Top doubles pair separated for Kedah Open

“Kien Keat and Boon Heong have played together for so long. This decision is taken to break the monotony,” he said.
“It will also lessen the pressure on them – after having had to live up to high expectations all the time.
“This brief time being away from each other may just be the right tonic to make them come back together even stronger.
“Sometimes, we tend to appreciate our partner better when we are not together all the time.”

MD will be very interesting now. Race is open for Gan/Tan, Mak/Tan, Chan/Lim, KKK/OSH, HTH/TBH to grab the title. Fuzzy is the dark horse.

    Really interesting draw(s).
MS - Liew Daren vs Iskandar is the highlight here. CWF should be in the semis to meet TCS, then we can see them fight it out. Someone, please beat Hafiz! I hope it will be Iskandar in QF.

MD - Bad draw for my fav pair. Mak/Tan have to beat Gan/Tan to impress me, hopefully I can see them in the semis. Chan/Lim on the other hand have a simple draw to the SF, where they will meet either Mak/Tan or Gan/Tan. We shall see whether Goh/Teo can beat KKK/OSH and HTH/TBH. Fuzzy has a really, really easy draw to the SF.

WS - Nothing much to say here, but it seems like it's gonna be a fight to see whether Lydia lives up to her top seeding by overcoming TJY in the second round(as revenge for National GP), or whether Sonia can beat Saniru.

WD - Vivian/WKW, CEH/CSC should take it. Why is TJY/Saniru seeded 2nd? GLY/LYL might cause upsets. Not balanced top half of the draw.

XD - TBH/CEH is the highlight! See whether CPS/GLY and OJG/CSC lives up to their seedings. Hoping for something from TWK/WKW.
    XD -

    in this draw
sonia is the 3rd strongest beside lydia and tee jing yi
    and yet
the gap between them is just experience(lydia) and determination(tee)
skill wise, yang and sonia better than tee
    but tee have the spirit

Lydia still recovering from knee injury, I dont expect her to win Kedah

    Withdrawals from Kedah :
MS D1= Hafiz, KBH, Kuan Kam Chong
MD,XD D1 = LKW, replaced by Ong JG in MD.
XD is very hilarious. LKW and Goh Wei Shem, suddenly listed as XD, when one of them become girl? wakakka:p:p

LKW withdraw? Well, looks like the bottom half of the draw is between Mak/Tan and Gan/Tan now.

MS - Nothing on the first day, most had byes, no interest besides Zulfadli winning as expected.
WD - CEH/Sabrina Chong seemed to face a little more resistance from Sonia/Yang in the second game, good sign from our juniors.
    Goh/Lim won as expected.
XD - Koo/Florah, maybe Koo's style can boost Florah's confidence a bit... no problems in the first match as expected. Goh/Lim took quite long to subdue Lutfi/Nairul, should have done it in straight. Tan/Woon probably played up to standard.

MD - Koo/Ong lost, that was expected seeing that they face Teo/Goh. But rather tamely. I am thinking that KKK is becoming weak; there are signs he is the weak link in the KKK-TBH partnership already. Chan/Chew won, I was thinking that Iskandar/Arif could pull off an upset. Goh/Razif, no comment.

Hmm... OSH is not very good either... I think both did not play well, but we know that GWS/TKS is a good pair too. :)
Mak/Tan won eventually, 21-16; 21-19. Not as comfortable as I wanted it to be (OMG, I starting to become someone who demands more and more  ) But tomorrow is the real test, against GTC/TBS.
