First time ever on BC, an Individual match thread has been created considering the magnitude of the encounter we have at our hands. History, tradition and Philosophical approach to MD - all are on the line.

The Minions move so quickly and erratically while anything directed towards Lee Yong Dae is a zone of danger. The supporting cast - Kim Gi Jung and Marcus Gideon Fernaldi are both talented rear court players and can be assertive at times.

I have a feeling that it won't go down very well with Lee Yong Dae. Classical Doubles Artists like Cai Yun, Hendra Setiawan and Zhang Nan have utmost respect for the talent that is Lee Yong Dae. We could have some blockbuster drama if Kevin's behaviour is not up to the mark again.

Kevin must be extremely excited. He's been waiting for this encounter. I dont't think he will mess it up with his usual antics. He respects LYD as much as he respects Zhang Nan & Hendra Setiawan.

I'll be pleasantly surprised and happy if lyd/kkj wins..... I don't think they can cope this beast level of fast & furious play ......unfortunately.
 
In my opinion, LYD's prime was around a decade ago. There's almost no comparison between 2008 Olympic prime Lin Dan vs current Lin Dan a decade later, but doubles is a little easier for the old timers to still be competitive, even though he's only 30. He may not win this one with his new partner, but things may still change in the future.
