I'm torn apart here in MD. Both are from Indonesia. Although I idolize Candra/Tony, I will also like it if Kido/Setiawan can beat them. Then it is a good sign for Indonesian's badminton overall progress. So this time I will root for Kido/Setiawan. A lot are being said about Kido/Setiawan being ready for the #1 Indonesian pair. I totally agree. Luluk/Alven is finished. They have hit the ceiling. Time to shove their ass out of the door. I don't enjoy watching them playing at all especially Luluk. He will make the same mistakes over and over and over again in one set. However, Kido/Setiawan still have a lot to learn before they can enter the Hall of Fames of Greatest Indonesian Men Doubles Pairs. They have the potential, but they still have to learn a lot. One of the very first step they can take is to beat Candra/Tony.

No question in XD, I'm definitely rooting for Widianto/Natsir. Show them that you are the REAL CHAMPION!!

WD is hard as well. Technically and logically, the Indonesian pairs have something like 1% chance to beat their opponent, but miracle(s) do happen, right? If they win, I'm gonna hold a big party here in Creston! So go INDONESIA!!!!

    Are you serious??...

gotta be kidding me..you mean the KOR pair Lee/Lee withdrew??...wow, if that's the case, what a lucky break for the INA ladies..
Yup, just checked the scoreboard, and it's confirmed. For some reason the KOR pair suffered an injury, right at the interval point with the INA ladies leading 11:9...Unbelievable!!...well, i guess they'll be facing most likely the CHN pair in the Final....good luck ladies-;):p :)

On that note, calling out byelnats, are you ready to hold down a big par-tey in Kamloops, B.C.??..hehe;):D

well, as expected, Tony & Candra, for all intents and purposes will be the new KO MD winner. It's a good sign for the young INA pair, as they've given it all they've got by winning the 1st set & even pushing Tony&Candra to the brink of elimination, barely losing the 2nd set by the slimmest of margin. I thought losing that set really took its toll in the 3rd set..:p
Too bad, but i think the young INA pair also learn another valuable lesson...Perhaps next time those 4 players meet, it could be "3rd time's the charm" for Kido/Setiawan..;)

i havent watch that MD match yet but i would guess to say tony and candra were handicapped by
    - not played together very much since the olden days, therefore, synergy wouldn't be as good as kido/Setiawan who practiced and played together alot more.
    - i wouldnt say tony G is in top form.
    - kido/Setiawan prolly watched alot of tony and candra games before(tapes), where as the reverse is not.

1st and 2nd were close because young team usually start off explosively from their built up energy and aggression to win. Experience pairs like tony and candra knows that. If there were such thing as best of 5, or 7 games, the match wouldn't look that close when tony/candra keep on clicking like the 3rd game.

Wow. Roslin bt Shon 17-21, 21-19, 21-11. Third-game washout. Shon must have used up almost all his strength trying to win the second game.
