How lcw played tonight against Lin Dan couldn't be any better.

The shuttles seems slow and suit Lin Dan especially towards the 3rd game,

He has the speed and power to deliver a killer when lcw shuttle were too low to the base or not deep enough.

lcw just needs more patience to play Lin Dan :)

Ld strategy through out the Korea open was a good one :D

Cannot agree more.. but i would say LCW played well, just could not close the game. This separates him from the champion.

I think LCW played his best game of all times today but it was not enough. LCW lost in the last few points because I believe he was frozen in fear and as a consequence 'gave' away the match which from a technical viewpoint was all his to take.
Just have a close look at LD's face. It is ashen and he looks like a man recovering from a recent illness. But LD used his killer smash sparingly, so as not to fatigue himself prematurely, and only at the critical moments.
With a 100% fit LD, LCW would find it more difficult unless he changes his mind set. Against LD, LCW must learn to go in and enjoy the game instead of pressurizing himself with a mental load. Just stop worrying about being called all sorts of names by fans who are quick to curse and equally quick to praise. Once LCW learns to really and truly enjoy his game he will be LD's equal or be even better. It is all in the mind.

Sad for LCW...

LD & LCW always remind me of 诸葛亮 & 周瑜 in 3 kingdom story...

LCW / 周瑜 born in wrong era... where LD / 诸葛亮 exist...

I bet TH could have beat LD if he was in his best form like in 2004 -2005 olympic games and WC.

LCW just lacks that mental edge over LD.

I also bet LD would've effortlessly won if he was in his 2008 OG form, or 2009 Sudirman Cup form or 2010 TC form.

no if's :)

No way, TH was way better than LD at the peak of his career. Nowadays TH just plays for fun.

Lin Dan is pretty disgusting, blowing his nose countless time at the court side in front of the tv screen. There should be time outs in this game for players to do such an act using proper disposable tissue or towel and not spreading germs onto the court and in the air.

The match between LCW and LD was very close even though LCW lost 16-21 in the 3rd game.
Without disrespect to TSB, LCW would have been better placed had MS been on hand also, to guide him and who knows what the outcome would have been.
LD had 2 Chinese coaches to advise him and that made a lot of difference.
I just hope that the MS issue is resolved soon and that he will be back with LCW.
