    ^^It's probably limited..^^

..i was able to log in BC on Saturday, the 1st/Sunday, the 2nd from one of the local M'sian internet cafes and surfed without any problem. I was also able to surf online without much problem when i was transiting in S'pore's Changi using their public internet on Saturday, the 1st.

So hard to have a "stories and pictures" thread if pictures are impossible to upload.:(
But this armchair traveler thanks you for continued efforts, ctjcad.:)

Let's see, you've got the obligatory limsy picture. A few more delicious food pictures would be nice (mmmm!). Add some scenery and you are ready for National Geographic. (a few leng lui wouldn't hurt, either;))

    Day 1 pics..

..finally!! here on Redang Island and enjoying a good internet connection!!..Surfin' BC while facing the beautiful clear, blue water of South China Sea..
Had a fun high-speed jetty ride (abt 45 min. or so). The island is very nice but we're rather limited to a portion of the island. A lot of tourists this week, but most of them (more than 90% are Asians, Chinese M'sians they seem to be)..
For those wanting to go here, it's quite worth it. 2 days is more than enough as there isn't really much to see and do other than swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing. If one wants to try jungle trekking, then 3 days is recommended.
    Will post the pics soon..:)

*For the videos, i think they have to wait until i return to the states to upload them..the connection is not really ideal..

For now, here are Day 1 pics..

    Day 1:

This is Kajang, the home turf of limsy & george@chongwei..or at least part of Kajang's downtown area...

One of the food hawkers' mini trucks/stalls..

Neighborhood near hotel complex in Kajang..The building houses the Twins Sports Hall on the 2nd floor..

Inside the lounge of the budget hotel where i stayed..it only costs abt Rm69/night (abt $20-ish/night)..and it's very clean..

At the only one & world famous satay Kajang restaurant...and of course, the world famous satay Kajang..

*drifit, no beer. Only ordered the air tebu (sugar cane) drink..I'll be back in KL next week. We'll try to arrange for your "job performance review"..

    Day 2:

Another view of the lounge of the hotel where i stayed..

Couple more pics of downtown Kajang..A small, tight-knit town..

Waiting for a KTM Komuter train on a station platform in Kajang..

Riding inside the KTM Komuter train..

Overlooking KLCC and public park from KLCC mall..

    Playground near the KLCC park..

    KLCC skyline from the park..

Inside one of the underground LRT stations...On the way to Times Square mall..

Near Times Square area..and Low Yau Hat?? (popular electronics mall)..

Another food hawker stall just outside of Low Yau Hat?..

Inside Times Square mall in downtown KL...Times Square mall is arguably the largest mall in KL with 10 stories of mostly high-end retail, commercial and dining spaces..

Inside Sungei Wang Plaza, nearby to Times Square plaza. It's one of the first (oldest) malls in KL..This is where danielwong, limsy and myself bought the T&UC tickets..

And this is the last spot where we spent our night, Soo Kee Mee Stall..The same restaurant where limsy chowed down that paper chicken dish and prawn mee to his heart's content..

Hey thanks Chris, I always love to read through threads like this. Makes me really want to travel!! If only I had the money... Although everything sounds so incredibly cheap (I feel so ripped off in NZ) so maybe travelling is not so financially unrealistic for me as I thought!

Are you planning on any more travelling this year?

Day 3 - Travel day to East Coast M'sia..

    * phaarix, if you study a bit of the place(s) you want to go to, you can get some pretty good deals. Of course, having good connections is a bonus.
Add to that, i'm traveling in a country where i can get more for the money..
No, no more traveling for me this yr....time to save up to visit the European BCers in 2012..:eek::p

Day 4 - On to Redang Island..

..okay, before we start, i want to sincerely apologize in advance to those who were planning to come but have cancelled at the last minute. And also, those who are stuck in their office and working hard for their money....I hope these will bring some sort of relieve to your hard day's work..

    Redang Island...

Some tips for those who want to visit:
    - All resorts have a buffet type dinner. The prices range from Rm30 to Rm35/person. There are also cheaper food kiosks; i would
recommend go with the cheaper food kiosks as the buffet prices, imo, are a bit of a rip-off..In general, the food prices on the
island are a bit more expensive..
    - There are mosquitos on the island. So, get ready to get bitten..
    - There are some breeze, but they're not as cool and only occurs at night time..It is scorching hot and humid during the day..

About to leave Merang jetty port..and enjoy a fun, high-speed ride...the trip took about 40-45 minutes..

    Unloading the food supplies..

View of my room. There is a ladder which leads to an upper deck bedding..And outside of the chalet..

For those who want to take pics underwater, yes, they have the housing and digicam for rent..No, i didn't ask what cameras do they have..

The jungle in the back. If you're interested in jungle trekking, you can do so..

The many angles and sides of the island..

For those coming from countries who don't use 220v outlet, who want to use their laptop or any electrical device, this is what they have as their electrical outlet.
If you don't have an adapter, one of the mini-marts sells an adapter for abt Rm5.

For Rm5, you get to drink and taste a nice young fresh coconut..

One of the interior courts of one of the resorts..

    limsy, here's your tequila band..

Scene of one of the buffet dinners..

H1N1 is now now threatening Malaysian chances with Misbun suspected of H1N1 (his family members are now down with the flu).

Mew Choo is now under suspicion too with sore throat. Tan Chun Seang is also feeling the sysmptoms according to news. LCW is feeling good but he is closest to Misbun and I fear it is not a good sign.

All these news is not going down well. If this gets worse, I am sure there will certainly be commotions.
