You guys are being really mean to KBH... Im by far no fan of his, but he was under tremendous pressure, and the lack of experience in such big tournaments leads to his dismal performance.. Yes as fans of Malaysia, of course we are disappointed with his performance, but calling him 'totally rubbish'? Thats just pure insulting!

We don't want to blame on KHB. He is not the only one losing his game. LCW & Hafiz also lost. But why people only angry on KBH?
Because he didn't fight hard!!! He even lost easily to his opponent. His skills and tactic not good enough to be the TC team member, really.

We could see LCW and Hafiz fought hard, and their opponents are good also. So we could understand that. But not for KBH.

I think this thread should be blocked. Beng Hong was under tremendous pressure. I think the key match was Hafiz's. Kenneth Jonassen wasn't playing very well, and yet Hafiz could lost to someone much older than him.

Being world ranked 15th is not exactly inexperienced. Remember the word "WORLD". I think its not that people are that unhappy because he lost but rather the way he played was obscene for such a highly ranked player in the... again the word "WORLD".

Ya, to me all 3 singles players got to take some blame. Much was expected of LCW but he did not deliver. Then Hafiz. He was like a spent force after winning the 1st set. How come Misbun didnt give enuff physical training. On the other hand , KJ was really fit. That was the difference that i cud see in the 2nd MS. As for KBH, it was also the 1st time that i got to see him play. Too many unforced errors and lack of killer instinct. He just try to move his opponent around.

for the record i dun blame LCW, Hafiz or KBH for Malaysia's TCup loss.

I do wish we had WCH......

I just think KBH just really did not perform at all to the point he should not even be there.

is there no one else to put in Malaysia's team that could at least show fighting spirit even in the face of defeat instead of giving point after point for free??????

Appologies for being mean but i'm being mean nevertheless.

KBH lost with his extreme pooorrr performance.
If he did fight hard but lost, we still can understand that. But he wasn't.

Ya how we all wish we had WCH tonite...sigh....

looking forward, who do we have for the next TC 2008?? Well, my guess is that WCH and LWW/CTF wud be out by then. So in MS we have LCW, Hafiz, KBH :D er....looks like there aint much succession planning here....unlike in MD, we have 2 or 3 upcoming pairs...

we still have Lee Tsuan Seng. He is an experienced player in TC.
He should train under Li Mao... he could back to the top.
He beat Taufik, Chen Hong... many top players in the past TC.
    And

So sad to read this thread but everyone brings up valid and reasonable observations. I hope Yap Kim Hock or Li Mao gets a chance to hear the voice too. I hate to say this but losing in semis is like a chinese saying "strong lighting but small rain drops". Mal team came in with high expectation but not able to prove themselves. This is a good lesson for us "dun expect too much next time" and for BAM "we still have long ways to go"

LTS was one of the hopefuls together with Yeoh Kay Bin to make the final squad but I guess his recent results in tournamenst are just not good enuff. Ya, LTS is a bit like Hafiz, was very good that time but now slowly but surely slipping away liao...

    Well,
-If you see a Cat would you not say 'Cat'?
-If you see a can of coke will you not say 'coke'?
-If you see rubbish would you not say 'rubbish'?

After that dud/rubbish Kuan pulled off, i wouldn't blame anyone of uttering the word rubbish.

The shuttle is now in Kuan's court. It is up to him to prove that we are wrong and that we are big jerks,......... or prove that we are very right and very wise - ahem.

No need to block this thread...this is actually good for BAM, they need pressures and lots of pressures to get serious in business.

Otherwise, they always think they are on top of the world. We keep expressing our emotions and give them pressures, thats how China and INA are able to produce great players that can take heat and have no fear !!! I remember when Lim Swee King lost in a final match back in the 70s, his house got burn down. Of course, we discourage this type of lunatic behavior but my point is pressures help to push a player to the next level.
