You gotta do or say something.. ..ants, gotta tell 'em, man, we all still want to see them compete in the pro/SS circuit. Tell 'em to cancel whatever post-baddy career plans they are thinking about. After watching that video link, i just couldn't imagine why they're planning to split and stop playing professional badminton? Maybe a lack of motivation?? Or the coaching staff wants to give younger pairs more chances to compete? Both are only 24 yrs young, essentially at the peak or if not approaching their baddy career. And with much of the CHN's veteran pairs retiring, this current JPN duo should continue to remain near the top. Unless both are getting married or starting a family or planning to be a politician, i think they should continue playing professionally. For Ms. Shiota, forget abt working as a commentator for Japanese media. Your talent is out there on the court and wielding those rackets. Same thing with Ms. Ogura. At least give us, your loyal baddy fans, 4 more yrs til the next Olympics....
^^Or..^^ ..she could be watching some badminton videos on youtube??...or who knows, maybe surfing and reading badmintoncentral.com??...
It had a press conference in Tokyo on popular Kumiko Ogura (25) it in the Beijing Olympics women's doubles representative of badminton as "Ogushio" and 11 Reiko Shiota (25) both = SANYO Electric =, and all-Japan and integrated championship (Tokyo and gym secondarily in Yoyogi on 12-16 day) was clarified and it was clarified to cancel the pair at the end. Shiota also formally declares the active service continuation following Ogura who was hanging to the following target out the London Olympics in 2012 on this day. It will walk with a new partner in the future though the activity in the first line will be continued all together. Today's news.sorry.I can't write English.so,this is Machine translation.
nf611 that is ok...i can understand it quite well. thanks for the information.... was hoping to see them in HKG...
While Ogura aims for London 2012, Shiota decided to simply continue year by year. They said they have different aims. They are said to continue playing until the 28th of November.
wow unfortunately during that press conference , it had been some good and bad news.. the good news is-- they will continue to play the bad news is- they will be continue to play but with different partners:crying: as soon as the ongoing National Championships is over...this shocked me!! they also stunned the local and National press:crying::crying::crying: more news here>> http://www.badzine.info/index.php?o...a-to-split-up&catid=8:international&Itemid=39
Both of them are best of friends. They just feel that the time has come for them to explore other things and play with different partners since both agree that they can't improve no more as a pair. So playing with different partners and doing Something fresh and a challenge that they can take would probably prolong their badminton career.
ants woow you know erverything about them....very cool are u their brother??...how can i be like u .. but why i'm thinking that actually there's no communication between them.... just a feeling....... ~FeelingBlue....
I wonder if anyone noticed yet that the article in the link below was written by our own BC member, Miyuki... hehehe
Like what i've mentioned... both of them are best of friends. Thats why they can make that decision without any ill feeling. To make things better, both of them work in the same company Sanyo. Its just that each of them their direction in life is changing after Olympics. They dont blame each other because of their performance after their dissapointment outing in the Beijing Olmypics. They still have fun playing with each other and against each other. I've seen them playing against each other. Both still respect each other. For all of you fans out there.. this is not a serious matter. Dont make it a fuss. Just relax and stay cool.
