Lakshya sen played against Wang Tzu Wei. He played well in the first game and won it 21-15.
In the second game, he was up 10-6 then 15-12 and 16-14 till Wang Tzu Wei won 6 consecutive points to lead 20-16. Lakshya won two points to reach 18-20. Then, Wang clinched second game 21-18.
Third game was purely one sided. The match lasted 1hr 8mins.

I think it's a good result. Reaching main draw of WTS 300 is good considering his age and relatively low experience.

Yes, Lakshya Sen will lose many matches before he starts winning. Lakshya is supposed to train in Denmark for 3 months from September with Morten Frost at his academy. He will also play the Danish league, but it also means he won't participate in BWF tournaments during this time so Vimal Kumar smartly set a top 50 target.

His next tournament is Denmark IC.

Wowwww. Good news. It will be beneficial for him to train at Morten Frost academy and also by playing Danish League.

Just saw MS entries for Denmark IC. JOJ, HKV, Dey, Sourabh Verma, Ygor Coelho, Mark Caljouw, Rasmus Gemke are there. Strong MS field considering it's an IC level tournament.

Lakshya Sen wins Belgian International Challenge 2019. He is still in Year 1, which is basically exposure and no results expected.

Some of the results of Lakshya this year where he lost in early round or had an unexpected loss:

Lost against RPB of China in first round of qualification of Barcelona open in two straight games

Lost to Kunlavut in two straight games in first round of France open super 100

Lost to Kunlavut in two games in final of Polish Open IC

Lost to Kai Schaffer of Germany in three games in r16 of Denmark IC

Lost to Tanongsak in two games in second round of qualifiers of NZ open 300

Lost to Weng HongYang in second round of Canada Open super 100 in two games.

Lost to Cheam June Wei in first round of India open super 100 in two games

After that he hasn't been tested by a good player. He was slated to play Mark Caljouw in Belgium IC but Mark retired before the match.

Now, tomorrow he'll play against a Japanese Yusuke . He will be a good challenge for Lakshya as he's beaten no.1 seed Sameer and also LSF though his name has never been spoken before. If he's reached a final, then he must be in good form. Lakshya needs to play his best and win this tournament to get a good confidence booster. So far, his contemporaries Kunlavut and Li Shifeng has captured WT 100 titles. Good luck to him for the final.

Moderators, would it be possible to fix the spelling of the player's name in the thread title? His name appears to be spelled Lakshya on tournamentsoftware, Twitter, and the BAI database, not Lakshay. Perhaps it's too late.

Lakshya Sen wins Dutch Open 2019 World Tour Super 100. This was a nice surprsie, wasn't expecting any Super 100 wins this year! Will boost his confidence for future matches.

Kunlavut has not yet won a Super 100 title. He has 1 International Series last year and 4 International Challenge titles this year, but nothing bigger.

The other teenager who won a Super 100 title this year was Weng Hongyang, but he's since turned 20 so is a little older. Kodai Naraoka is the same age and he was in his second GP/Super 100 semi-final this year.

I mistook Polish Open for super 100. You're right. Sorry for misinformation.

Yes indeed. Only Li Shifeng and Lakshya sen won super 100 title. Kunlavut and Kodai did not win a super 100 yet.

Huge potential for Lakshay Sen in the future, if no injuries. His game at Dutch Open was excellent, seamless movements on the court with ease.

You would need to get it from the organizers streaming the Danish league! Not sure if it's free or paid. :)

The other 3 Indian players are Rahul Bharadwaj, Kiran George and Mithun Manjunath.

    Excerpt:
"Living together in a dorm, turning out for the local Danish club, cooking, doing their own dishes and laundry.
    Morten Frost:
The whole idea is to get players to step out of their comfort zone," Frost says. "When you're living in a foreign country, you are forced to take responsibility for yourself. They learn to plan and divide their time when they have to do all the less-enjoyable mundane everyday chores like grocery shopping or cooking.

"The self-discipline and life skills help in decision making when they're on the court. It's a wake-up call really. I'm away for commentary for two weeks now, so they're somewhat on their own. Of course there are three other coaches who look into their training when I'm not around and they slowly learn to not rely on anyone. On some days they flounder, on others they succeed. It's fun to watch."
