ARGHHH...this is the crucial pt that Team Indonesia lost.....so sad
Congrats to S'pore and Thai girls.
Overall, Thais are still better balanced in strength compared to M'sian girls. However, on that day, the unexpected MAS ladies won (2nd and 3rd singles) but the ones we bank on lost (WMC and Wong/Chin, though in Wong/Chin's case, it was 50-50 against higher ranked Thai pair and they gave a great fight in 3 games).
But that's fine though, all 4 world-class countries are represented in finals. MAS vs INDON in men's team, & S'PORE vs THAI in women's team. Probably one of the few sports where the host country cannot dominate.
And this is the crucial one that MAS girls lost:
WMC lost to Salakjit Ponsana 1-11, 5-11.
Very peculiar, losing easily to Salakjit when WMC fights hard against top-ranked opponents. LCW needs to perk her up.
It's a little bit worrying to see Taufik playing like this....letting his much inferior opponents taking 12 and 11 points Meanwhile, both Sony and Simon completely destroyed their opponents.
Today's clash between Indonesia and Malaysia is mouth-watering.
I am pretty confident that Sony and Luluk/Alven could deliver the points, after seeing Hafiz and CCM/KKK both struggling yesterday.
The other point will depend on which Taufik turns up for the day. A fired-up Taufik will leave no chance for LCW (who also struggled to beat Boonsak yesterday). If the score is 2-1 for Team Indonesia, then it will be a tough fight between Markis/Hendra vs Choong/Lee.
Hopefully, team Indonesia can prevail 3-0 first
Congratulation on Vietnam team won Bronze medal in the men team! Congratulation Tien Minh, Quang Minh, Thanh Hai, Quang Phong, Hoang Hai, Nguyen Nhung, Thanh Thao, Thanh Thuy, Binh Tho, Thi Trang and all... Congratulation on all the effects of our team. This is the full match result for the women team semis between S'pore and Indo;
Singapore :3 Indonesia:2
Li Li lost to Adriyanti Firdasari 11-5,9-11.3-11
Xing Aiying beat Fransisca Ratnasari 11-7,11-5
Jiang Yanmei beat Maria Kristan Yulianti 11-9,11-9
Liu Fan & Shinta mulia Sari lost to Lita Nurlita & Liliana Natsir 1-15,1-15
Jiang Yanmei & Li Yujia beat Jo novita & Polii Greysia 15-9, 2-15, 15-10
P.S. Quite surprised Li Li lost.
don't worry... it's typical of taufik when meeting "under class" player
he didn't need to use all his "arsenals" he knew he could beat viet palyer, he just enjoyed the game
This will not be easy for taufik to beat LCW. Taufik is more on a consistency player but LCW is more agressive.
agressive is not always the winner... skillfull and smarter are the key..
Ok. But agressive will make taufik's ball flow inconsistent and irritated. Eventually Taufik will make a lot of mistakes and lose his match to he himself.
Thats the y China players are dominating now.
remember the wc 2005....
ya. Can not just base on that few matches to determine who is better. Base on overall performance.
overall... maybe starting in 1998, when taufik (17) beat chen hong in brunei open.. lcw is still unknown . by lcw age, taufik won gold medal olympic 2004
Yea.. He is cool.. Thats y i fancy him. He is a very talented player. No one will deny it. But now is the world of China players, they almost swept all the trophy. :crying:
maybe they have "old secret medicine" ... the have strong stamina.. and they can play many tournaments in a row and they're still consistent
