Let's follow Lin Dan to the 2011 German Open GPG (Mar 01-06)

Lin Dan appears to have worked on his shortcomings and appears in even better form than in Korea. He seems to have added some variations to his strokes or perhaps he looks good only because he had time to play his shots.
Chen Jin definitely has improved and his accuracy is uncanny but still lacks deception and subtleness.

I think it would be criminal if they dont give the best performance of their lives at least in 1 set for the German public

who are so mature and appreciative and of course have deep pockets.

Another W/O or pre-arranged match in the final....??

I think they will play to entertain. Logically the winner will probably be the one who dares to risk injury at the expense of his future career.

well the German audience probably got their money's worth. CJ probably did nothing and just followed LD

so LD used the occasion to showcase his shot making and also his mistakes.

Hope this is not CJ at his best, if he could only pick up half of LD's deceptive strokes and subtle placings, he would be well

on his way!

Great occasion this German Open, polite, appreciative spectators encouraging players to play good badminton.

Also a brass band to blow the trumpet everytime a player tries to waste time.

congrats to LD...he is generous and not generous as well
generous in giving points but not generous in giving the title away...
can LD win back to back? AE?
if he can win AE and later Swiss Open
he will win 4 titles in a row....!!!

:confused::confused: Lin Dan to win AE back to back?

It was Lee Chong Wei who won the AE title last year (2010).

What danielwong meant was winning the GO and then follow up with the AE(back to back titles). everyone remembered LCW won the 100th edition of the AE last year.

OK, this matter is now understood. :):):)

To me, LCW and LD are the best 2 Mens Singles players currently (one level above all other players).

Hope to get the LCW-vs-LD match at 2011 AE Finals.

thanks Ben, not to forget LD won Korea Open, eventhough there is a time gap in between before German Open..
it is still an achievement if he win AE and Swiss Open...

Just off topic a bit, if LCW can get to the final this AE it will be already quite a feat,

considering all the deadly opponents he has to face in the early rounds like SS and KT, he would likely be a spent force after a few days.

Anyway back to LD before our BC RELA members sound out.

IMHO, LD is still the favourite to win MS title at the 2011 AE. But I shall support LCW. Why? Because LCW is the hardest working player in most SS tournaments.

2011 All England SSP: Lin Dan has a clear path to the Finals now

With TH out, open path for LD to the final now...
.
What a shocking result for Taufik Hidayat at the 2011 All England SSP: TH knocked out in the first round. :o:o:o

Agree; Lin Dan has a clear path to the Finals now.
