    Thats very funny from our Malaysian friend ... it would be a shame if we wont meet any of you lot on the final day , because all of our fans would be there cheering on the Chinese players sweeping them golds.

    and yes the CBL is a more healthier competition than the SS and our players would be ready for the WC10

    It is too bold to predict that other countries will take it, and china will not dominate. I say minimum 2 for China.

    We shall see ;) ....but I reckon would not be all 5 to China. Last year China full force also didnt take all 5.

    5 for China is quite tough also, unless they can repeat All-England 2009 (which means its still possible.)
    I say a realistic amount for China is 2-4.

    I think china will get 4 golds , the other will go to our friends in Korea (XD) ,
    the one uncertain gold would be the WS but we have a very strong squad competing for that event .

    MS = CHN
    MD = open
    WS = CHN (but not WYH)
    WD = open
    XD = open

    2 golds a certainty, 3 golds a high probability

    How about the knock-offs:p Why pay full price when the knockoff can last 1-2 years and throw them away (out of fashion) and get new knock-offs, then discard and new kn...:D:p

    I think the CSL or CBL, if anything, actually raise the standard of the CHN players, IMO, it is far harder to win in chinese leaque than the SS. Comparing the players in CBL and SS, CBL players are far more formidable, there is no love lost and every player is playing for his/her province and out to knock off each other and LD won all his matches, that may say a lot of LD's readiness for WC, I sure would not bet against LD winning WC.
    Without LD, really/honestly who is there to challenge LCW in SS? And we are talking about WC, a major than LD would like to add to his legacy and that is what LD aiming for. LD will come prepared, WC is not EAG. I don't share your prediction. Still CHN 3 golds minimum...at least.

    I'm pretty sure the Europeans will take some medals....and perhaps 1 gold :) (Tine, DK's MD, Laybourn/Rytter)

    Not sure about Tine. She's been absent for a while. Will she be in international game shape? Ithink DEN's MDs have gone off the boil. Don't fancy them to win. Maybe SF, that's it. Euro XDs stand the best chance of winning gold.

    For some dept perhaps, not all, like MD, their biggest challenge are pairs from other countries

    There's also the other factor of China players ranking which has dropped during their non participation of SS, GP Gold,etc. This will effect them where there's higher chance they meet each other in earlier round.
    This year will be different from last year ;);)

    So true that the draw will tell us more of our prediction to come, now, we are guessing and putting out hot air:D
    IMO. MD is CHN weak link for gold. MD in WC is wide open, no clear favorite, anyone's game.
    In MS, CHN has 3 entries. If I am not mistaken, WC rules would not pit 2 CHN top 2 players in the same half. So say LD in 1 and CJ in the other. That leaves pretty Bao in one of the 2. What not to say, LYB may tell Bao Bao to walk if facing LD, as LD would have the best success chance of playing LCW.
    In WS, LL is out and for the 3rd time a defending CHN champion cannot make the team, that speaks of talent rich CHN and if CHN is not favorite for WS, what can I say? WYH, WX and WSX, any 2 will in the same half, this is where the WS is really played at a high level. I bet anyone that gold to CHN in WS, (if only I can guarantee collect my winning bets:p;)) UC is a fluke.
    WD and XD, I say CHN to win, and ZB/MJ is my bet.
    So, how many golds now? 3 at least;) LCW has admitted he has no answer to LD in OLY and TC, and if LD plays like in TC, WC and OLY, gold to LD.

    UC a fluke? Com'mon give the KOR girls and coaching staff some credit.

    If I were a CHN selector I'd look very hard at WYH's place on the team. WSX and WX are certainties.

    XD - not as easy for CHN as you think. MJ was a complete wreck at the UC. I wonder if she has regained her confidence.

    Okay, my apology to the KOR cuties and the coaches. They played hard and deserved the win. I mean that is a huge upset and nobody can see a 3-1 scoring coming. That result would not be repeated any time soon. Ditto for the CHN world women table tennis team losing to Singapore. Upset of gigantic proportion.

    Bad year for CHN women's teams. Thank God for them the UC doesn't come round again for another 2 years, haha :p. They always seem to do better individually.
