The best way to find out about it is to experiment yourself. At the end of the day, the best tension is the one that gives you the best confidence depending on your play preferences.
Good luck.
Good luck.
For me, I just want to play and not bother too much about much else, so I let my coaches decide what tension suits me, even where to string my racket (I hand over my racket to them each time it breaks). So far they have always returned it to me at 27lbs and it really does suit me. Comfortable lobbing can be done by just focusing on correct motion with minimal force. Whereas I still remember some months back when I went back to my hometown and used a 18-20lb one (dad's spare racket) and seemed to forget how to smash. If you guys have coaches who have a great history and a ton of experience (assuming those 2 caveats is proof that they know their stuff) then it may fare well for you to do what they recommend, as they know you through and through.
Unless your skill hasnt been improved through out the year, when first started everyone beging with 22-23 etc, as the time playing and improvment skill 24-26, you always want more from yourself and the racket, in time you will find yourself go for higher tension 26 +.
There again you can aford to buy a Ferrari, but it doesnt make you a racing driver, you might look like one, at the end of the day, you only can handle what you can.
I agreed with you that higher tension will make faster action and faster game.
cheers
i just start to play for few times only.. my level is beginner..
thanks for advice.. i will try ur recommended string next time since now i already got 66um n waiting to b strung..Hi there, the bg66 ultimate is design in high tension in mind to get the feel and sound, but if you are a bigginer and below 26lb, you wouldn't benefit from this string, you better off get say bg85, ng 95/98 a thicker string will do better job on lower tension, soon you will notice you have to move the string back and forward in low tension. Cheers
