tnx for the link george. i dont think Lin dan will apologise publicly like what phelps did. In this case,we cannot equalise them.
and this is the 'reward' fro mr.phelps.. http://thestar.com.my/sports/story.asp?file=/2009/2/6/sports/20090206081631&sec=sports
can u be more specific? jeeez the answer is no since i haven't met him before even if i've met LD before, hell, i won't have your pre-precog skills
Specific, huh? I still got a problem with him for what he did in 2006 Malaysia Open. Did he ever apologised?
LOL, apologizing for what?LD lost, he should apologize for losing? lol dont bring up unfounded old gripes when i have answered that in many threads already. Just be happy that LCW won it, what more do u want?
He's being disrespectful during the prize-giving ceremony. He'd never apologised. That's the base of my previous post. However, one cute young BCer told us about his first encounter with Lin Dan. That one melt my heart. So,i had justified the '06 MO's controversy as his personality. i still believe this personality of his will not allow him to apologise publicly. If i was proven wrong, i am sorry.
Hmm.. ..and i completely & wholeheartedly agree with the decision. It shows that US Swimming is taking this seriously and not treating its players differently. ..that's part of it. Funny how he did it in public also, as if he thought it's all clear for him. Before and after the Olympics, it seems, as a person, he is just too good to be true. It's like he's the "perfect, inspirational" person everyone is looking up to.
Did the recent revelation of Phelps' (very personal) taking of marijuana suddenly strip him of his 8 Olympic gold medals? Did he hurt anybody by doing so? Does smoking weed make him an evil person?
No. It made him an 'evil' athlete. If you want to put it that way. Abuse of drugs is a violance. Marion Jones is doing a good thing to confess her wrongdoings, but still, she had ruined others' chances to win in olympic. That was evil.
I just looove the kind of affirmative black and white world that you live in. My favourite phrase for situations like this is 'love the the sinner, hate the sin'.
