I have a Gamma x6 FC machine. And so far I haven't really been using the load spreaders that I bought from mybadmintonstore. This is because I couldn't quite get them to fit. I'm wondering, how snug are they supposed to actually be? Either it hangs on it loosely or I have to bend the load spreader to the point where it doesn't even curve the way a racquet should, like how it is in the picture. [IMG]

Am I putting it on upside down or something? Any help would be appreciated!

Simple answer: Take a file...and file the sides so that it fits.
That's what i did... If it doesn't fit..make it fit.

I actually had to file down the notch in order to get less profile, I was finding that as is, it was blocking the top cross string. I also added a bit of shoo goo to hold it in place so it didn't slide up or down. Didn't want to use glue in case I wanted to take it off entirely.

In the picture... It seems like the loadspreader is turned the wrong way? If you look at the curves. But the slot seems to be mounted correct. I'm thinking maybe this loadspreader is not correct built?

Maybe it's just difficult to tell from the picture...

It's curved that way because I had to bend it to fit. Which I'm guessing is why people suggested filing it down so I don't have to do that.
I might just buy the supports that Gamma makes for the machine like Esteban suggested

Those Gamma supports are affordable but I don't think 2 is necessary. I only have one (from ATS Sports) for the top of the racket and use a MBS loadspreader for the bottom, but I did not remove the plastic pad on the original Gamma support. I also have a X6FC. Will take pics tonight.

You put the load spreader on over the black plastic bit?

Yes i do. However, i don't remember if i had to file it down or not.

In your pic the loadspreader does look like its flipped in the wrong orientation.

I'll check my setup again tonight.

I have a Gamma machine with the same mount and clamps, it appears your load spreader might be on in correctly?

The curved part should be facing the inner frame of the racket and away from the post, also the load spreader on my machine doesn't stay on to the post I need to hold it in place and tighten the post so it doesn't drop.

    Mine looks like this:

Oh ok. The reason that mine looks backwards is because I had to bend it to get it onto the post like I have it in the picture. I haven't tried putting it onto the plastic bits yet because I had the same problem as you of it not holding itself there. I guess it would still work the exact same even if you have to hold it there while you're mounting the racquet.
What's at the bottom of your racquet there? Like a black rectangle right below the 6 o'clock support?

Could you not remove the black pad from the 6'oclock?:)

Forgot to mention, I do not have the MBS loadspreader permanently in place. I just place it between the stock support (with plastic pad) and the racket. I've done over 1000 rackets like this and it's never been a problem for me. Will check out my setup for you today, didn't have time yesterday.

Oh why remove it? I added the extra pad for additional protection :)

The loadspreader is all the protection you need, and I find that there's more frame movement during stringing the more padding is there.

Mark is right, having 2 pads introduces more unwanted flex during tensioning. Also if the black pad is at 12 clock you will not get enough clearance for the last horizontal (also depends on machines).

Luckily I haven't had any issues with the last top cross string with this load spreader yet, I've done a few different rackets, and my ZF2 seems to be the tightest, but still okay just takes longer to weave bc space is limited.
