watched CJW played, in starting he used too much attack like smashes till no energy while LKY saved some energy and went counter attacks and great defence, thus lead to CJW failed to win the 1st game...

Tan/Lai and Goh/Lai failed to live up to expectations as they lost to unseeded opponents in the QF of US Open.

seedings are deceptive. newer pairings/players do not have enough tournament points to be seeded. it doesn't automatically mean they are not as good as a seeded pair/player.

i expected both matches to be very close, and they were. it came down to crunch time... both nail biters. very exciting.

basically, both malaysian pairs lost to better pairs that happen to have less experience as pairs. a lot of seeded pairs in the future will also lose to those same newer pairs.

Congratulations to Leong Jun Hao for winning the 2017 Asian Junior Championship by beating CHN player, Bai Yupeng.
A great achievement in his young career and I hope he can stay motivated and consistent throughout this year.

I believe it is the correct move. Jun Hao is still young and had not face many players in the top tier level.
Iskandar and Zii Jia are more suitable as they can beat some of them on the right day.

but recently Zii Jia seems not stable as he not played well in NZ GPG last week, while Iskandar's injury condition is uncertain...

Unfortunately, he is only 19 years old.
    Iskandar also still recovering slowly.
It is uncertain on what will happen but it seems that there is no better candidate than LZJ/IZZ now.

Really?! That's gonna be interesting. Lim better practice his serves more or else they won't go far in the tournament...

Women Final: MAS lost 1-3 to THA
    - Busanan beat Sonia
    - Sap/Putita beat Vivian/Woon
    - Goh beat Jindapol.
    - Rawinda/Jongkolphan beat Chow/Lee.

A point to make is Vivian/Woon failed to give a point even though they were leading in their match. Jin Wei did superbly to handle the pressure to win her match. Chow/Lee also gave their best until 18-all where they crumble under pressure. Sonia pretty much couldn't do anything after being overplayed by Busanan.

I had hopes for Vivian/Woon to make it 1-1 but they failed to do anything right in the next two set.

    Men Team: MAS v INA
Jonathan beat Iskandar in two set.
    0-1 now.
What can I say is Iskandar contributed to the lose himself. Too many unforced error, mistakes and inconsistent.

At this point, I predict 0-3.

Thanks to Lee Zii Jia's complete mental destruction from the start of his match until the very end.
I mean, come on! This is so disappointing to see he lose control after only a few mistakes.
