    Some results:

    XD ROUND 1/32
Koo Kien Keat/Wong Pei Tty bt Lee Yong Dae/Hwang Yu Mi 21-19, 21-11

Hoon Thien How/Ooi Sock Ai lost to Jonas Rasmussen/Britta Andersen 11-21, 16-21

Gan Teik Chai/Fong Chew Yen lost to Sun Junjie/Tian Qing 17-21, 21-12, 14-21

Some interesting matches in the XD ROUND 1/16
Zhang Jun/Gao Ling vs Koo Kien Keat/Wong Pei Tty -- unlucky draw for the local pair

Devin Lahardi/Yunita Tetty vs Tan Bin Shen/Ooi Yu Hang -- I hope the Indonesian pair can negotiate their first test, after losing in the first round earlier in Surabaya.

Hwang Ji Man/Kim Min Jung vs Jonas Rasmussen/Britta Andersen

Xu Chen/Yu Yang vs Songphon Anukritayawon/Kunchala Voravichitchaikul (MATCH OF THE ROUND) -- the Thai no 2 pair might lose tomorrow

Sun Junjie/Tian Qing vs Anggun Nugroho/Vita Marissa -- a tricky test for the Indonesian pair, although they should win

    MS ROUND 1/64
Lin Dan bt Muhd Haswan Jamaluddin 21-15, 21-19 -- yet another slow start by the World no 1

Peter Gade bt Tommy Sugiarto 21-17, 21-10 -- a good experience for young Tommy

Chetan Anand bt Darren Liew 21-16, 17-21, 21-16

Zhu Weilun lost to Kuan Beng Hong 15-21, 18-21 -- a good first outing for the recently out-of-form Kuan

Arvind Bhat bt James Chua 25-27, 22-20, 21-14 -- two tight sets and the local Sarawak players had to lose in the first round

Lee Tsuen Tseng lost to Jeffer Rosobin 17-21, 21-15, 22-20 -- a bitter defeat for the Malaysian player

Kasper Oedum lost to Chen Hong 13-21, 13-21
Mohd Shafiq Jamaluddin lost to Lee Chong Wei 9-21, 14-21 -- the defending champion started in a convincing fashion

Some interesting matches in the MS ROUND 1/32
Lin Dan vs Yeoh Kay Bin

Bjorn Joppien vs Mohd Roslin Hashim

    Dicky Palyama vs Poompat Sapkulchananart

Chen Jin vs Sairul Amar Ayob

Roman Spitko vs Kuan Beng Hong -- another early defeat at the hand of the Romanian will certainly crush Kuan's already low confidence (MATCH OF THE ROUND)

    Arvind Bhat vs Kenneth Jonassen

    Jeffer Rosobin vs Ng Wei

    Krishnan Yogendran vs Boonsak Ponsana

Anup Sridhar vs Lee Chong Wei

If KBH cannot win over the Romanian player then he has a serious problem with his skills. He may even be dropped from the Malaysia team in the future...

Didn't see their names. Indeed, I was actually hoping to see them in Singapore.

However, they are on the list of players for Japan in the Chinese Taipei Open next week.

Jeffer Rosobin has been around for very long time. He's now seen participating in the Satelitte and some open tournaments.
