Three INA MS also have serious test at first round in this MAS SS season two :
    - Sony meet Lee Hyun Il
    - TH vs Park Sung Hwan
    - Simon vs Boonsak Ponsana

And MD, Hendra AG/Joko Riyadi to face top-seed and defending champion home pair KKK/TBH...

yup, it looks tough for hendra/joko.

sony and TH should make it through, but boonsak and LHI are always dangerous opponents. i fancy simon will fall.

Sigh...Hendra A. Gunawan/Joko Riyadi ALWAYS get the unlucky draw, this time facing the top-seed Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong  The third-seed Fu Haifeng/Cai Yun is also in the top half.

On the other hand, Rian Sukmawan/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki and the other Djarum players are included in the draw, although we didn't see their names in the M/Q report

Rian/Yoke will face Howard Bach/Bob Malaythong Khan in a winnable tie, before facing the second-seed Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan in R16. Kido/Hendra face a qualifier in their first match. Possible opponents include Jens Eriksen/Martin Lundgaard Hansen [6] in the QF and Tony Gunawan/Candra Wijaya [4] or Jung Jae Sung/Lee Yong Dae [8] in the SF.

Luluk Hadiyanto/Alvent Yulianto also face a tough first match in Mohd Fairuzizuan Mohd Tazari/Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif in R32 and then possibly another encounter with Tony/Candra in R16 if they can clear the first round. Tony/Candra has a tricky match against the improved Chinese Taipei pair of Fang Chieh-Min/Lee Sheng-Mu.

In the MD qualifier, Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan are drawn against Chan Chong Ming/Chew Choon Eng in the second round and either Robert Blair/David Lindley or Chan Peng Soon/Chang Hun Pin for a place in the main draw.

Reasonable draw in the Mixed Doubles as the second-seed Nova Widianto/Lilyana Natsir and the fourth-seed Flandy Limpele/Vita Marissa being kept apart, with Flandy/Vita in the top half and Nova/Butet in the second half.

A tricky first match for Flandy/Vita in the form of Joachim Fischer Nielsen/Britta Andersen and possibly Han Sang Hoon/Hwang Yu Mi in R16. Sudket Prapakamol/Saralee Thoungthongkam [8] will almost surely be their opponent yet again in the QF.

The top-seed Zheng Bo/Gao Ling should await them in the SF. The come-back pair Mohd Rijal/Greysia Polii is also in the top half and they also face a tricky match against David Lindley/Suzanne Rayappan in R16. If they can win, then they will face Zheng/Gao. Zheng/Gao is likely to face He Hanbin/Yu Yang [6] in the QF.

In the bottom half, Nova/Butet is drawn against the dangerous Chinese Taipei pair Fang Chieh-Min/Cheng Wen-Hsing in R32, and then possibly Hendri Kurniawan Saputra/Li Yujia in R16. Their QF opponent would be either Thomas Laybourn/Kamilla Rytter-Juhl [7] (again) or Lee Yong Dae/Lee Hyo Jung.

The last INA pair Devin Lahardi/Lita Nurlita will meet the tricky German pair Kristof Hopp/Birgit Overzier and if they can progress further, the third-seed Xie Zhongbo/Zhang Yawen should await them in R16. Xie/Zhang should face Nathan Robertson/Gail Emms [5] in the QF.

In the Women's Doubles qualifying, 2 INA pairs are in the draw and Lita Nurlita/Nitya Krishinda will face 2 MAS pairs for the right to be in the main draw: Fong Chew Yen/Mooi Hing Yau and possibly Lim Pek Siah/Haw Chiou Hwee [1] in the final round. Meanwhile, Meiliana Jauhari/Shendy Puspa Irawati [2] face a tough draw against Goh Liu Ying/Ng Hui Lin in the first round and then either a Chinese Taipei pair or a mixed India/Canada pair in the final round.

In the main draw, Vita Marissa/Lilyana Natsir [8] should fulfill their seeding with negotiable ties against Johanna Persson/Elin Berglom and possibly Miyuki Maeda/Satoko Suetsuna in the first two rounds. Another tomboy pair, the fourth-seed Du Jing/Yu Yang should await them in the QF for an interesting match. If they can progress, then they will face either the top-seed Wei Yili/Zhang Yawen or Gao Ling/Zhao Tingting in the SF. The Chinese pairs are drawn to face each other in the first round...so..expect a withdrawal

Rani Mundiasti/Endang Nursugianti also has a manageable first tie against Birgit Overzier/Carina Mette and then another tough encounter against the cute pair of Kumiko Ogura/Reiko Shiota [6]. Likewise, Jo Novita/Greysia Polii should beat Valeri Sorokina/Nina Vislova in the first match, but, will face a strong opponent in Lee Kyung Won/Lee Hyo Jung [3] in R16.

Tough draws for all the INA Men's Singles players.

Taufik Hidayat [6] will meet Park Sung Hwan, while Simon Santoso will face Boonsak Ponsana (again?). The winners of both matches will square off against each other  If Taufik can clear the first two rounds, then, an anticipated match against the top-seed Lee Chong Wei beckons in the QF.

Sony Dwi Kuncoro [5] will also face a tough tie against Lee Hyun Il in R32. The winner will face either a qualifier or Anup Sridhar in R16. Even if Sony can fulfill his seeding, he's unlikely to beat the third-seed Chen Jin in the QF.

Finally, Andre Kurniawan Tedjono faces a qualifier (likely to be either Kuan Beng Hong, Tommy Sugiarto, Andrew Dabeka or Eric Pang). If he can beat his opponent in the first round, then Chen Yu [8] should await him (again) in R16.

In the qualifying round, Tommy will square off against KBH in the first qualifying round. If he can beat the MAS player, then Andrew Dabeka and possibly Eric Pang will be his hurdles for a place in the main draw. Besides Tommy, Alamsyah Yunus will face Bobby Milroy in the first round and then Lu Yi (again) in the second round. No chance for him to qualify.

In the Women's Singles qualifying, Adriyanti Firdasari will have to beat possibly Jang Soo Young and Lee Hyun Hwa if she's to qualify. Tough her for. Pia Zebadiah is likely to beat her first two opponents and a tough opponent in either Xing Aiying or Salakjit Ponsana for a place in the main draw.

In the main draw, Maria Kristin Yulianti also faces a tough first opponent in Ella Diehl. Even if she can beat the Czech, she's unlikely to pass R16 with the second seed Zhang Ning awaiting her.

yup, the last time they met was in the HKO, CJ beat him 21-8, 21-6 or something like that.

sony was playing way off his best that day, i'm hoping for a better performance if they do meet again.

It's funny how most of you here whine about how LCW has to face TH in QF... Lin Dan has been put against Taufik in QF or earlier in more than 3 occasions in just last year alone, and nobody said anything(not from Lin Dan's fans or Taufik's fans). By the way, Lin Dan won all his encounter against Taufik last year.

Hopefully, Gade will defend his title this year without having to endure the sickness again.:p

I don't see it as a tough draw for Lee Chong Wei, rather it's harder for Taufik have to face Park Sung Hwang then winner of Boonsak/Santoso. Somehow few of the Malaysian fan still lack of confident on Chong Wei, I think he will win the title and only Lin Dan can challenge him base on his current form and Lin Dan is not coming to Malaysia Open. The key is to handle the pressure and Chong Wei is getting better in that department so his chance of winning the title is pretty high.

I wouldn't write off Park Sung Hwan so fast -- he is capable as we had witnessed in recent tournaments.
